I had my appointment today I'm ohhhh so angry about the long wait.

I called in the morning and asked for an appointment for the irritated tired red eyes, They asked if I wanted to come in the same day at 3:10. The person on the phone did say that I shouldn't expect 3:10 exactly, might be 3:20. Ok fine I can wait 10 minutes, right?

I get there at 3:05, wait in line until 3:20 to get to the receptionist. The nurse takes me in pretty quickly and after the checkup brings me back to the reception area saying it will be just a minute before the doctor sees me. (The doctor was Anne Fung.) Well, it's 4:00 then 4:10, then 4:20. At that point I go to the reception and tell them that I was waiting for over an hour, what is going on. They tell me they're very behind, sorry, etc. 5 minutes later I go again and ask them to reschedule me. At that point the receptionist takes my chart and goes into the doctor's office. She comes out saying that they'd see me now. Ok, I'm already late for everything so I resign. The nurse comes out, takes me to the room and leaves there for another 10 min. While waiting there I come out and ask the nurse who's sitting browsing the internet why do I have to wait that long. She actually tells me that I had an emergency and they accomodated me by fitting me between the patients. Well, I didn't ask for it. If I knew i'd have to wait 1.5 hrs, I'd never gone there. Her response is "don't blame me". Eventually Anne Fung did show up and said she was sorry blah-blah. I think she spent on me 3 min total if not less.
I'm sure when my bill comes, it's going to be scary. I wish I could deduct the wait penalty.

I can't actually speak for the quality of care here, as I never was able to see the doctor, but like other reviewers, I was billed for services not received, and despite my bringing the issue to their attention the matter was not resolved.

It always disappoints and surprises me when a business puts short-term profits ahead of long term customer happiness and referral business.

I would recommend going elsewhere.

If 0 stars were an option, that is what Pacific Eye Associates and Dr. Danny Lin would receive.

I was referred to Dr. Lin for my chronic dry eyes. He suggested I have a procedure done called Punctal Plug Implants. After the consultation I assumed he was the best Dr. to go to since my beloved eye dr. (Dr. Vu at Hall and Szeto) referred me.

I came back a few weeks later once they were able to fit me into the schedule (Please note the long wait of at least 30 minutes at every appointment). I showed up for the procedure, he inserted the plugs, and then sent me on my way. He never gave me any precautions or anything... just said, "Okay, you're done, bye... see you in two weeks for a follow up."

Well before I even made it to the follow up one of the permanent plugs came out. The receptionist told me to come back the next day and they scheduled me with some random dr. who made me wait over an hour before he fixed my scratched and bruised eye. I told him I felt like the other PERMANENT plug was loose and he said it was fine. He too sent me on my way with nothing but a hefty bill.

Low and behold 2 weeks later BOTH plugs came out! So I now paid $600 (after insurance) for a permanent procedure that was not so permanent. I called at least 20 times to talk to someone in the office about my situation and not one person called me back.

So I scheduled a "follow up" with Dr. Lin to discuss the situation at hand. I waited an hour and 20 minutes before I was seen. Dr. Lin gave me 8 minutes of his time and not once did he look me in the eye. HOW RUDE! And he expects me to let him come near my eyes again? Absolutely not! I will never go back to that office!! If you expect someone to look you in the eyes when talking to you, don't go to dr. Lin.

Oh, and every time I am there I hear the assistants talking poorly about customers and how their feet hurt, etc. So unprofessional!

Go Somewhere Else!! unless you like getting talked down to

So i read the reviews on here and was a little hesitant, but wiling to give it a shot. I regret this decision very much now.
It started of well the med assistant was nice and then the intern who looked at me was okay too.
But then Dr. Seiff came in, and without shaking my or my mother's hand, began to ask me questions. He seemed dissatisfied that I had never received any surgery for my condition and his manner was one of indifference. He then proceeded to chastise my mother for not getting me surgery (which i had never wanted and do not want now).

Then he went off about how it was likely difficult for me to deal with my appearance (how i would have to explain it to friends and potential mates) and that surgery would be the best option. But in his whole little tirade he never once, asked ME (the patient it affected) if i even wanted surgery. Maybe he though I was too stupid to have an opinion, because he did seem to have this high and mighty attitude.

It doesnt matter how good the doctor is or how renouned, if he cant deal with his patients in a professional and humane manner I dont want him. All Dr. Seiff did was piss me off a lot, and made me never want to go back to pacific eye again.

I became a Yelp member JUST to review Dr. So, and lo and behold, why am I not surprised that there is already a negative review about him?

I completely agree with Robyn's review below about Dr. Scott C. So. I was also assigned to him at Pacific Eye Associates, and his rudeness and abrupt manner was a complete turn-off. I, too, waited for about half an hour to 40 minutes until he was able to see me. When I told Dr. So about my ailments (dry-eye, redness, etc.), he was quite dismissive and gave me around 15 minutes of his time (after the already mentioned 30-40 min. wait) with a quick diagnosis which he sped through so much that I had to ask follow-up questions out of confusion.

What really upset me is the way he approached the reasons why I had the symptoms that caused my dry-eye, plus the fact that I had not had my eyes checked in awhile. I admit that I could have been more knowledgeable in terms of contact lenses/vision check-ins, but there's a way to let patients know the importance of this without making them feel so belittled. In my defense of being naive, I very clearly jokingly said, "Oh, well I'm still young!" . He looked at my chart and responded meanly, "You're 23. You're not THAT young!" Maybe I am being too sensitive, but I think that comment was uncalled for, unless it was reciprocated in the same joking manner (which it was not -- i suppose you had to be there).

Long story short, I had no problems with Pacific Eye Associates (though the receptionists seem quite harried) as a whole, but the next time I have eye problems, I will specifically state NOT to have Dr. So.
