I found Dr. Oxford's staff to be exemplary: helpful and efficient in every way. However, Dr. Oxford seemed very uninterested in her work. Maybe she spent 2 minutes in the room with me... it was probably less, since she had her assistant do all the history taking with me. When I asked a question, she threw a flyer at me describing treatment for a variety of eye problems. Not a word about follow up and she left without giving me a chance to ask questions about my serious eye problem. She prescribed $200 eye drops that did nothing and gave me incomplete info about my diagnosis.
Go to a doctor who wants to help patients, not just process them!

All the bad reviews are true. Rude staff, FILTHY office, I guess they figure people coming in can't see so well, so they don't bother cleaning the inch high layer of dust and grime off the shelves in the rooms. Don't worry, you will have PLENTY f time to see that dirt, as they leave you waiting for HOURS. No kidding. HOURS. I think a few people died of old age while I was there.

They also are NOT HIPAA compliant, yelling out names for all to hear, no privacy whatsoever.

2 of the girls who worked there talked about another employee for about 15 minutes, (not favorable, by the way)

The walls are chipped paint everywhere and it smells like a dirty bar. Day old booze gone rancid.

I was seen by a girl who did a few tests on my eyes, and then shuttled back to the holding pen (filthy waiting area) where, an hour later, no one had even stopped by to let me know what was up. When I asked someone she told me it would be another hour. I left. WASTE OF TIME, but I'm better off, since it was so dirty I probably would have gotten an eye infection.

Gross. But, they take all the insurance in the world, and they clearly don't give a crap if you are unhappy.

Whatever you do, do not purchase your eyeglasses from this office. Mine cost in-excess of $900 which is standard for my eyes, but the people working at this location cannot measure for tri-focals to save their lives, regardless of eye machine assistance. I now have only one lens that works! Additionally, I selected a frame I liked and they went with it saying it was a good fit. After having the screws come loose I went to another local optometrist who immediately informed that these frames didn't fit my temples or face! STAY AWAY. I WILL BE SUING THESE PEOPLE FOR MY MONEY BACK!

1 star for ALLLLLLLLLLL the staff. I guess that office doesn't have standards for patient care when it comes to hiring workers. I'd probably get better service if they hired monkeys

BUT WAIT.....

High five to the lady who works in the optical/eyeglass dept (super sweet Hispanic lady). She's honest with her opinion on how glasses look when you try them on. She also also checked on a long list I gave of frames while I was getting my exam. She had all the info ready for me after my appt. SHE ROCKS!!!

Lastly......

59287472010774 stars for Dr. King!!!!!
I've noticed over the years that a ton of the doctors have been leaving. But thank you baby Jesus for this guy!! He's EXTREMELY PATIENT, honest, and explained in detail about the eye condition I have (the last doctor who saw me and quit 3 years ago) just said I have an eye condition, wrote my RX for my contacts and glasses then left the room.

The only reason I continue to go there is because of Dr. King and the lady in the eyeglass dept.

Everyone else needs to find a new damn job. You give people who actually take their job SERIOUSLY in the medical field a bad name for your rudeness and endless excuses for your mistakes.
