STAY (HOURS) FOR RUDE STAFF; NEVER RETURN FOR EVEN RUDER MDs

As virtually everyone here has mentioned, the waiting area is a complete disaster, poorly run and with patient names being yelled out like they're carney barkers. If you've ever wondered what Soviet medicine was like, come to Pacific Eye Associates for a live, Jamestown-like reenactment. I've had more professional and courteous experiences on MUNI. Think about that for a moment.

But, Hey! If you're annoyed that this outfit couldn't possibly care less, you can spend the hour or more you will wait reflecting on what swell physicians they are to donate their time to the needy in 3rd-World hellholes. Which appears to be where they came across their motif for a business plan.

Dare you voice displeasure to the undeservedly-lauded Dr. Fung? She'll send you packing with an invitation to never return. Coals to Newcastle, you greedy quack: I'd not return if you paid me.

Questions about your eye health? Even medically-informed questions? Don't bother. If anything this alerts these nitwits that you're comparing their competency with another, and that just won't do. Because they'd never measure up.

Why anyone would pay -- pay! -- to be maltreated and provided cursory, substandard care is beyond me. I went on recommendation, and dutifully corrected my physician acquaintance to warn him off referring anyone else.

Pacific Eye Associates is a disgusting mill brimming with arrogance and services nearly outside the standard of care. Do not entrust your vision to these hacks.

You have been warned.

overall, a poor experience. Expect to wait a long time in a stuffy, windowless reception room. They dont use the glaucoma test machine so you will have to have your eyes dilated (most eye doctors stopped doing this 15-20 years ago-- pacific eye is waaaaay behind in the latest in opthamology). And, the kicker is that the eye doctor has an arrangement with the in-house optician so your eye doctor will NOT take your pupil measurements-- this leaves you with an incomplete prescription for glasses. I wont be going back!

My experience at this Pacific Eye Associate for a routine eye exam was horrified. No one at the front desk communicate to me about my MD's current schedule running behind at least 45minutes during the check-in on the day of my appointment. No one give me a definite answer how long I should be waiting for my turn until I specifically told them to go ask the MD to see the duration of the my waiting time. It took me 90 minutes before I actually was seen by my MD. They expect patient to wait according to MD's schedule running behind however, patient gets penalized being late for his or her appointment . Please don't set an office policy to tell patient to show up 10 minutes prior to his or her appointment as a reminder via phone if patient is not seen on time for his or her appointment. This is unacceptable for this office to treat their patients daily providing such poor customer service and adding stresses to patient's life. This creates a stressful environment adding to unnecessary patient's health issues. This office needs to revamp how to treat their patients with not only good customer service but also better time management with each of their patient to provide appropriate care.

When I came last month to have my eyes checked, they decided I needed three back to back appointments a month later, scheduled at 320, 340 and 350. An hour later, I've only had one (I'm sitting in the waiting room still). When I got called to the second one, they wanted to do the exact same generic procedures they did one month ago and the attendant clearly did not know any reason why I was here. Then since I had an hour and a half of idle time (I did get into appointment two), I tried to check out but they refused to let me. I would never recommend this place and this is the last time I will be here.
