Chaotic and abusive practice and disinterested doctor (Dr Charlson).I had eye procedure done several weeks ago - since that event, its been one awful experience with this office after another. The manager of the practice is shockingly rude. I was referred to him by the front desk in order to get help when Dr Charlson wasnt returning my calls in regards to after-care, and also again referred to him from billing department in regards to mysterious laboratory bills from outside providers that I couldnt sort out. Both times this man was oddly aggressive and made it clear that my concern is not his problem. Speak to the doctor about it (ummm yeah but shes not calling me and the front desk transferred me to you to help me connect with her about my bleeding eyeball) and Speak to the companies about it (ummm yeah but the companies said to call you since your practice ordered the labs that I am getting bills from but dont fully understand).Dr Charlson does not return calls - not even the day of procedure when I was subsequently in massive pain and realized that Id left with a bleeding eye and no discharge paperwork or treatment plan. Nor did she return calls the following day or the day after that(!) when it turned out the pharmacy was not able to fill prescription for the ointment for my eye and both my husband and I called several times for advice / new prescription.Today, Dr Charlson has not returned my most recent call as I continue to have eye discomfort and am confused about the charges (which office wont help with). Its weird. Its disrespectful. They dont care about you. Dont go here.Sloppy. Awful. Go elsewhere.

Im going to have to give Dr Charlson and her office one star. The reason I dont give it zero stars is because I am praying that she did the procedure on my eye well - which would give her a 5 star rating for that important 60 seconds. Sadly everything else regarding my experience at her office gets a zero. I am still healing and will know how this all turns out medically later but I am not returning to this office for follow up.If you expect respectful and prompt communication and care - this is NOT the office for you. I have felt neglected, dismissed and outright treated rudely by the office and Dr Charlson indirectly.1) Day of procedure, I left office without proper discharge instructions (I was discombobulated with a bleeding eye so I didnt think about after care). Later, same day, as I was driving home, I called 3 times in afternoon when I had severe pain, and was each time told Dr would call me right away. I called 3 times because business hours were drawing to an end and I hadnt heard from her or her medical assistant. I never did hear from Dr Charlson. I had to reach the after hours doctor for assistance.2) The medicine Dr Charlson prescribed was not available - we called numerous asking if theres an alternate over the next several days - no response from Dr Charlson or her team.3) Post cash payment of appointment and the procedure itself as we went outside of insurance, I was billed for 2 labs totaling $2000 - neither billing nor the medical manager who is shockingly rude for that matter - was able to help me understand why there are 2 bills and not one for the labs.On a side note, I did ask Dr Charlson whether these labs would cost thousands (as these particular labs were recommended but not completely necessary) and she said no, not thousands. Yet they are thousands.4) Also, I received bills first and had to call several days later and request results - Dr Charlson did call at that point after I left yet another message.5) Again left message for Dr Charlson about 3 weeks after procedure regarding continued eye discomfort as well as billing - crickets.A special sub-zero star goes to the office manager. I was referred to him once - to ask why the doctor wasnt responding to my queries regarding post-procedure care and medication and he rudely told me that he cant help me and I need to ask the doctor.I was sadly referred to him a second time - billing asked me to call him in regards to the lab invoices that I didnt understand, and again he said he cant help me AT ALL and to never call his cell phone again (the lady in billing told me to call that number it! I didnt know it was a cell phone!!)This is all about my precious eye - I have 3 children who need a mother who ideally can see and function. I feel disrespected and neglected which is a yucky feeling as I had high hopes going to Dr Charlson based on the other reviews.

Just wanted to throw this quick review out there to suggest some cultural sensitivity training for your front staff. Like other reviews have mentioned here, reception needs to work on being a lot more accommodating, or at the least, have a bit higher customer service when it comes to helping out the elderly / ESL. If the elderly is coming into the office, perhaps they don't have e-mail?This is not the day and age to dismiss people when they put in the effort to come into the office.

Let me say at the outset that I never saw a doctor here. I made an appointment, but that time was not the time that was recorded in their computer system. So I waited half an hour before asking why I was waiting half an hour, given that I was on time--early even. Eventually someone came to tell me that they were running behind and also that my appointment was not when they told me it was. They blamed me--but I never would have made an appointment at the time that they said, since I had another appointment elsewhere in the City. Then they told me that my eyes would be dilated, despite checking when I made the appointment that they would not. So I cancelled the visit, got a refund, and got yelled at for complaining. It's very large and disorganized; people were waiting everywhere. I called another practice two days later, got an appointment two days after that, and had the problem addressed on the spot, and it was calm and exactly as described on the phone. The nays have it with this practice. Just awful.
