Not a review for the ophthalmology department but for the eyewear/optician dept. Impossible to reach a live person, I've left two detailed messages over the last month for a callback to reorder some eyewear for my son. Not a word back. I have no time for businesses that don't want my business. I'll go elsewhere.

I just left the office of Dr Oxford at Pacific Assoc. after waiting over 1 hour. I have been a patient of Dr Oxford for several years and a bit tired of this offices scheduling. This time I brought in my daughter whos eyes were very irritated and needed attention.
Dr. Oxford blew in, never apologizing for the HOUR wait. I told her my daughter had seen someone else and immediately became rude. She looked at my daughter for 3 min. told us to go see "the Other Person" ( a term Dr Oxford called the other Dr. we saw.) if her eyes were blurry and get another exam. I told her she was using an eye drop that cost $190.00 given by "the other person" as she put it and said stop taking it with out a valid explanation. Disregarding the costs.

I found her behavior way out of line and will not be going back. To get a second opinion these days is very important. For her to be so rude. Never again. Now my 16 year old daughter knows what it feels like to be so disregarded from a Doctor. Lesson learned, but will not be repeated.
If you don't like what your doing Dr. Oxford stop doing it. People time is as valuable as your.
Very disappointed.

Would never recommend this place to any working professional. Their operating hours are during core business hours (9-4 M-F) and the waits are painstakingly long. Aside from the in office waits, I waited two weeks for a trial contact delivery which was expected in four days, and upon picking up my glasses I was told to speak to someone when in reality there was a list I was supposed to sign in on.

Unfortunately the doctor was great but I'll never be seeing her again because of how much of a wreck the operations of this place are. Real shame for the doctor I saw.

Big practice with little regard for customers--I had an appointment with Dr. Heiden, showed up after making arrangements to get off work only to be told that the appointment was cancelled and that Dr. Heiden was not in. I had no message on my phone nor was I contacted by email...no idea what happened, but really pretty bad.So can't recommend--Dr. Heiden may be an OK doctor, but what good is that if the surrounding organization is lousy.

Came here for chalazion treatment as a referral from my PCP. Had 2 appointments, a few months apart because it was so hard to get an appointment here. Both experience were very negative.

Doctors 1/5
Saw 2 different doctors due to staffing changes. The first, Dr. Russell, was distant and unengaged, and I felt like I was pulling teeth trying to get more information from him regarding treatment options, effectiveness, etc. He gave me 2 treatment options for my chalazion. Steroid injection, only 50% chance of effectiveness or surgery, 100% effective. I went with the surgery, and got an appointment in about 2 months, since they only do surgery once a week apparently. For my operation appointment Dr. Seiff. He was 30 minutes late to the appointment with no apology. His bedside manner was very condescending, flippant, and he didn't even face towards me when speaking. He went on to explain the surgery was not guaranteed to be effective like I had been told by the first doctor. When I mentioned the discrepancy in opinion, he dismissed me by saying I must have misunderstood, and even compared my issue to cancer (saying that these things don't go away overnight). Not really what you want to hear before eye surgery. Given the conflicting information and the cold attitude I was getting from the Dr. Russell, I decided to cancel, the procedure and seek another opinion elsewhere.

Staff 3/5
Nurses were nice enough, maybe a little awkward. During my above exchange with the doctor, she just looked at me sympathetically, hearing the discomfort in my body language and voice, but did nothing to try and help. My surgery was schedule by Billy Kwong - he was really unhelpful in my email regarding availability. I felt like an annoyance. But he got me schedule eventually.

Front desk 3/5
Adequate, although the waiting room feels like a zoo. When I went to the front desk explaining that I no longer needed the surgery and mentioned the doctor was very "brusque" they were nice enough and offered to book me with another doctor. I declined. They asked what happened and when I explained they just said "oh these things happen sometimes". I expect more caring attitudes from professional healthcare providers.
