Had cataract surgery with Dr. Frantz. I paid for the upgraded lens and didn't get it. Before the surgery, he came by to say hello and I reminded him that I was getting the upgraded lens. They agreed I did not receive it and offered to do a laser surgery on my eyeball to reshape it. But when they described the procedure and after effects, it sounded really scary to me. I didn't feel that I could trust them to do the correct thing since they couldn't even put the correct lens in my eye. My husband, deceased MD, said it was cleary malpractice and they should at least give me my money back (pd up front). I called business office and requested my refund but after two years have not received it. I would not recommend Dr. Frantz and his associates.

Dont go here. Beautiful building hides poor service and medical assistance. Go somewhere else

A little over a year ago I my left eye went a bit blurry. I went to Frantz Eyecare and was told I needed Cataract surgery. They convinced me that the light adjustable lense was the best for me as I had previously had lasik. Because I have a high deductible health plan they also convinced me it would be better to self pay rather than use insurance. I paid out of pocket around $6000. The surgery and follow up appointments did not go well. They always seemed to disorganized. A lot of waiting at each appointment, sometime spending 3+ hours there.Long story short the procedure didnt work in that my vision is still blurry after cataract surgery and spending a lot of money. They suggested a YAK process to remedy the issue. They billed me another $200+ lab and operating room charges totaling another $700-800.I have not paid those additional charges as I told them until my vision is clear I wont pay another dime. They then suggested PRK a form of LASIK on my eye. I was concerned that might be too much trauma on an eye, a third surgery but the doctor convinced me it would be safe that my eye looked very healthy. I agreed. About a week before this PRK was to be done I received a call telling me the actual surgeon said he was not comfortable doing the PRK, that I was not a candidate.About three months ago I ordered two pair of new glasses to be able to see 20/20.I paid for them myself but now they are of no use because my prescription in the bad eye has changed. One of the doctors told me they would replace the lenses at no cost to me.Now Im told I have a balance and its likely they wont pay for my new lenses.A different story every time I talk to them.I have asked no less than 5 times to have the billing manager call me to discuss the balance as Im not comfortable paying any more because of the bad results. I have never received a call as of today. They were willing to do a $1500 PRK procedure at no cost but yet they wont eliminate my $700 balance.I would suggest no one use this facility, do your research. VERY BAD experience.Ive never posted reviews on line but I felt maybe if I do I would get some results to settle my balance and move on.

I went to Franz with blurry vision was told that I had glaucoma and cataracts in both eyes had surgery over 2 years ago still the same problem I called and asked if I could personally meet with Dr. Franz since nothing has changed and was told I could not. It's sad to keep going back and forth and never get the results you were expecting and it seems your just a number and no one cares. I finally decided not to return even though I still have the same problem.Patricia Green
