I called to make an appointment last week and the person on the other end of the phone was very rude to me. I simply wanted an appointment to see if I was a candidate and she kept telling me that I had to go somewhere else to have an evaluation and I finally decided to hang up when she told me it would be almost five hundred dollars just to ask the question, that I had to have a full eye exam and workup even before having a conversation with eye professional. I just wanted to talk to a doctor and I was perfectly willing to pay for the conversation, but a full eye exam and things like that before I can have that conversation indicates that patients are treated more like products than people. I'll be going somewhere else.

I scheduled an appointment in July as for a new patient exam. The next available appointment was in October. It was a bit of a wait, but I thought it would be worth it. Then they called and canceled due to hurricane Ian. I asked when they would be rescheduling patients since I already waited 3 months and was advised they would prioritize the canceled patients. I never heard back so I decided to call a week later. At that time, I was advised the next available appointment was in January. I asked if that was how they were prioritizing and she said just said, "that's the next available". I wish they could have done better with the customer service.
