About 2 years ago went for a glaucoma consult. As a "self-pay" patient I was more than shocked at check out to hear a bill of 800 dollars, I complained and finally the Manager reduced the bill to 480 dollars, mind you that not even a visual fields test was done. While other testing was done, NEVER in my life (going to ophthalmologists for 30 plus years) was presented with a billing like that. Additionally, I waited 2 hours 15 minutes to be seen for that complete waste of time. BEWARE of this place.

I wish I could give them no stars. Dr. Grenridge and his staff at the Largo office is very unprofessional. They will talk down to you and not to you. The wait time is about 2 hours. If you complain they get very nasty. They do not inform you if they are running behind like your time isn't valuable. I will NOT ever bring my child back to this office. They will even try to charge you to get your records. Customer service is seriously not their priority.

I have no problem with Dr. Johnson's abilities. My problem lies with him allowing his staff to double and triple book his appointments. I have had 3 appointments with him in the past 2 years. The LEAST amount of wait time I had before seeing him was 55 minutes and the MOST amount of wait time I incurred was an 1hr and 20minutes. At that point I left his office and never saw him. This is totally unacceptable and rude. My time is valuable, too! I will never go back there.

Here are some advice for those considering this facility for lasik or cataract procedures:<br> Understand, upfront, this is assembly line eye care. Even after spending thousands of dollars you could get stuck with a unexpected $500 bill. Do not depend on them to tell you what your insurance will or will not pay - contact your insurance company directly before the procedure, If your doctor is Weinstock, make sure you get in writing that he is actually doing your procedure or you could be looking up into the face of a person you have never met as your eyeball is being lasered. Keep your expectations for your end result low. You may or may not be stuck still wearing glasses or you may have halos around lights at night. These surgeries are not always everything they are cracked up to be. Be aware!
