I originally made my initial appointment in the St Petersburg office with Dr. Sacksteder for Monday 4/17/2017. Went to the St Pete office and was told by him he couldn't help because I had Keratocunus. I advised him I told them when I made the appointment. I had even added that to the initial patient paperwork. He said he couldn't treat me but Dr Smith in the Largo office could. I was immediately ushered to the front desk and an appointment in Largo for Dr Smith was made for Friday 4/21/2017 at 2pm.[Please note that Largo is about 40 minutes drive]On 4/21/2017 I arrived at the Largo office at 150pm and there was obviously some confusion with my appointment.After approx 10 minutes I was told that someone had mistakenly cancelled my appointment but i could see the Dr. next Friday 4/28/17( you have to be F'en kidding me !!!!) I declined and left.To sum it up I took time off work 2 days and drove approx 1hr 30 mins for absolutely nothing. What a F'en waste of time!!!!!I would suggest that no one use this bunch of incompetents and seek your eyecare elsewhere. For they are very good at taking the appointment, but not very good at keeping it.Go somewhere else!

I had lasik done in 2016 and he was able to bring me back to 20/20, which is the important thing. I don't doubt his talent but he is very arrogant. Bedside manor was completely insulting during the procedure. Even asked after the procedure if I was a boxer? Then stated "oh you must be a tough guy then huh?" All the while during the procedure he kept repeating "your making this harder than it needs to be". Theres only one way to stare at a light. The typical I'm a doctor and walk on water.

Worst experience of my life!! No one explained side effects, etc. pre op. Never received any written info on side effects pre op. Ended up with continuous watery eyes, itchy eyes, and drooping eye lids. I was told quite curtly by a male nurse that I had to see the eye lid specialist to fix this. Why should I have to pay to have this done when I never knew this could happen? I now feel like I have a curtain on the outer edge of both eyes.Nothing relieves it. When I insisted on seeing someone, they scheduled me with a nurse practitioner who did an ultrasound on my eye and told me nothing was wrong. NO ONE ever made eye contact with me when speaking to me. I am a nurse, and would never recommend this institute to anyone. I was treated like a number and during my second surgery, it was 2 hours late and everyone was treated like cattle.Diane Grabosky
