Had eye lid surgery year ago from dr Clair, results were not very noticeable and the office over billed me for services i never received. There was very little cooperation from Dr Clair once he was seemingly paid, and his office was terrible to work with, i would not recommend them and i would be careful to check the bill. I will be seeking an additional surgeon to try to fix this. I was very disappointed, initially Dr Clair seemed like a straight up guy but once there was issue with the billing and the procedure he was just a ghost. Ive waitied a year or better to post this as he said my swelling could take that long before the procedure would be final. Well, id get another opinion if i had to do it over, my left eye is actually worse than when i began. Seeing another surgeon for opinions as to whether it can be repaired.Be careful

Mixed Review, the eye institute is a great place for my annual exams BuT I am having weird sight issues, They found a lump in my retena ( i have central serous) and sent me to Dr Kirsch & Ive heard Great things about him, but i did find him a bit dismissive when i was going over information with him as far as a ear infection I have & i was on meds for and if it may have linked to my site issues i was having currently. He just said no, no way , But I went for a 2nd opinion and as Soon as this specialist saw the meds i was on he said Right Away Its Know to cause Increase eye/site issue in patients that have central serous eye conditions, blurred vision, spots and such. He may be a great Dr but I wish He would have taken more time with me, my file and listening....I feel it was a waste of my money i will never get back :-(

You don't want to ask this doctor why he is planning a surgical procedure on your eye that is not considered by the available literature to provide the best outcomes. He only performs an older version that he considers to be better. I had researched my eye condition thoroughly and asked why he didn't perform the latest surgery. His response made it clear that he thought he was so highly skilled that he shouldn't have to justify his choices. I don't think he expects his patients to be particularly informed. He became very unpleasant and canceled my surgery.

I used to see Dr. Schwartz in Largo who was awesome. Sadly he passed recently and I was referred to Dr. Davis in Clearwater. First time seeing him, and all he did was seem frustrated that my dilated eye kept tearing and smudging his equipment. Then he tried to perform a procedure with a handheld lens and got frustrated again saying I was dilated and he couldn't perform it. Uhmm, excuse me, but you ordered my dilation not 15 min earlier. Finally, when I asked what a certain procedure was, he held up the lens and said, "that's what I am trying to do." I had no clue the procedure name he was referencing was what he was trying to do. I am not an eye specialist.Bedside manner has a lot to be appreciated. He is rude and arrogant. Time to find another doc who knows how to interact with patients. Would never see this man again.
