My mother has something with her eye and the lady who came to the counter was very unprofessional and no compassion. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

I have two major issues. One: In 2016 my husband went to the Central Ave office for a stubborn sty on his left eyelid, he wasnt seen by a doctor but his assistant saw him, spent over $200. for products that didnt touch it. He was told nothing they could do. The sty did go down in size, so didnt think anything was wrong. However 3 years later come to find out the sty was stage 3 basal cell cancer diagnosed at Moffitt.Second issue: Very dear friend of mine had eye surgery, the lens was inverted, she was in pain. Instead of them checking their work, she was told it was probably shingle. Really! For three years, her pain level had been excruciating, vision compromised, many surgeries to repair what was no longer repairable. Her pain was constant, she said it felt like razor blades cutting into her eye. She died 5/13/2020. This practice is responsible for her death!

I had an 11:30am appointment on 3/17 with Dr. Hairston for laser surgery. I took the day off work and my wife came with me because I was told that I would not be able to drive home after the procedure. She works night shift and was tired when we arrived at 11:15. The staff that met us rudely instructed her that she had to wait outside as visitors were not allowed to wait in the waiting rooms anymore. They brought me back within 5 minutes to process my $365 fee for the visit. Then they sat me down to wait. In about 20 minutes a staff member came to dilate my left eye. Then I waited another 25 minutes. I was the only patient in the waiting room. I asked another staff member if they could see what was going on as I had an 11:30 am appointment and now it was getting close to 12:30. He arrived a few minutes later to say that the Dr. was on an emergency call and that it would be a few minutes. 10 minutes later another staff member took me back to a room and put drops in my eye and to prepare me for the procedure as soon as the Dr. was available after his "emergency" call. Then I waited again...Now I've been in there almost 2 hours and my eyes dilated. I was very irritated at this point and asked if I could speak with someone. A few minutes later the staff who brought me to the room came and asked if I just want to reschedule and lamely apologized. I expressed my irritation of not being told anything and is it this office's practice to have their patients wait this long? Another staff member rudely interrupted and told me not to raise my voice and said she would get the manager. I agreed and said "Yes, I would love to speak with the manager!" The manager arrived and was very apologetic. The Dr. no showed and no one was proactive in letting me know what was going on. I asked for my money back and left after waiting two hours. Never going back. Worst customer service ever!!!!!!
