Worst place to take care of your eyes. They over charged you for everything. Im a keratoconus patient. I use a hybrid contact lens and the regular cost of the lenses are around $500 a pair for each eye. I went to them under an emergency circumstances and they charge me $1,000 for a pair of contact lenses thats not including the $300 dollars they charge me first for an evaluation to tell me i had to see an specialist. For real i know what is my condition since 20 years ago. Stay away from them.

I had Lasik done by Robert Weinstock in 2011. As a result, I have been dealing with debilitating post-lasik dry eye for 8 years. I'm a healthy 43 year old but I now have calluses on my cornea, and can only work for a couple of hours at a time before having to put a hot compress on my eyes. Research shows that Lasik can lead to corneal nerve damage and life long dry-eye but he won't tell you about that. If I could go back to wearing glasses and enjoying a good book without being in pain, I would do it in a second. Also, my night vision is so bad, I'm unable to drive after sunset.

My Eye problems are far far worse than before I spent about $6500 to $7000 in addition to my Insurance paying for cataract surgery. I needed cataract surgery in late 2017 and went to the West Florida Eye Institute. I was sold an "upgrade package" that was supposed to eliminate my need for glasses except maybe for fine print. It included their best lens implant and Lasik for my astigmitism. They did the Lasik and lens implant at the same time on each eye a week apart. I had problems from the start. I needed a Yag proceedure within a month or two. I went back again complaining and had plugs put in to keep my tears from draining to try and correct dry eye.It has now been about 18 months. My vision uncorrented near and farsighted is worse than before the procedures. My vision constantly changes and I have had to buy at least 5 sets of glasses due to the prescription changing. I now have exteremly dry eye and constantly use lots of artificial lens. I cannot read for more than 15 minutes, I get eye strain all the time. I am now extremely sensitive to light. I now get headaches that seem brought on by eye strain. Under my eyes now always has bags and my eyes now always look tired. I wish I had only had the basic cateract surgery. Or at least put off having the Lasik until I saw how effective the lens implants were.I am not saying the Eye Institure did anything wrong, what I am saying the outcome for me was worse than terrible. I could not be more disatisfied with the outcome. I will not go back to them and am seeing someone else to see if any improvements can be made.
