The first time that I went there Dr. Park told me I needed Prism in my glasses. I dont have double vision so I wasted weeks going back and forth with prescriptions. I finally went to Walmart and paid for another exam and they made my glasses. Complete waste of time and money!!! And, the person that said that the Lobby has coffee and cookies. Who cares??? I want them to focus on my eyes not my stomach!!

Tina, the PA was very professional & had amazing patient care. The 2 ladies at the check in counter were extremely rude. On my first visit, the check in receptionist to the right was very rude when I told her I checked in online. She very loudly said, not the last time I checked you didnt while rolling her eyes at me. She then told me to go wait in the red area for the provider. After asked her where that was she says OVER THERE & waves her hand in that direction. At my second visit, the check in receptionist on the left very loudly discussed my personal information which was very embarrassing to me. Eventually she walked me over to the red waiting area & pointed at a seat while saying sit there & wait. I sat down fighting back tears only to have her emerge from wherever she came from to mumble something to me while walking by me. It took everything I had in that moment to hold back the tears. The check out crew is amazing as was my experience with Tina but my check in experience was absolutely horrendous.

I had my cataracts removed 2 years ago and now have spots and blurs and I made an appointment to go back to see what`s wrong and the day before my appointment they called and told me they don`t take Humana insurance so now what am I suppose to do go to someone that didn`t do my surgery, I am very disappointed in them.

Several years ago, I was treated there and had a favorable experience.. Earlier this week, not so much. I had an eye exam (a year late because of COVID) and the doctor saw a small tear on my retina, possibly caused by my nearsightedness. She told me that I should see a specialist to double check it. I told her i had been to EIWF before and she contacted them fr a referral. EIWF contacted me and we began to set up an appointment. All was going well until she checked my insurance. I had since changed providers and my new provider wasn't taken by EIWF. "We don't take that particular plan. Sorry. Now you have a good day" and she hung up. Nice phone staff you have that treats customers in such a condescending manner. Naturally, I know this will be deleted and laughed at.

My mother Lorene went to The Eye Institute of West Florida for a routine cataract surgery, which they said she was a good candidate for and she became legally blind after the surgery. Her cornea detached, and she had lots of issues that they did surgeries on to try and fix. She spent the following years trying to deal with being legally blind, she was unable to drive or live a fulfilling life. She had many falls because of it, which caused a broken arm, also ribs and a nose. She died January 30th, 2022, I truly feel if she had been able to see properly, she would not be dead at the age of 61. Her doctors were Dr. Desai and Dr. Kirsch. I understand she may have just had bad luck, but they really ruined her life, and have had no repercussions except this one bad review, and probably the many more I plan on leaving on any site that will take it. I've never left a bad review before, but they've earned it.
