Had the refractive lens replacement with Dr Desai and once he sells you on it, youre just another number. They are far to busy to offer any personalized care. The faster they get you in and out the better they like it. Not very comfortable given the fact its your vision youre dealing with. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Find a smaller, more personalized place. Thats what Ill be doing in the future. $8,200 later, I spoke with my surgeon a total of 20 minutes. Maybe. Trust me, you deserve better.

My experience today at WCEI in Largo was very disappointing. Ive been a patient there in excess of 30 years and have seen various doctors none of which ever treated me the way Dr. Neal Desai treated me today. He was disrespectful, arrogant, rude, argumentative and condescending. I am not pleased with the outcome of my surgery and even more unhappy with the treatment I received from a man that is supposed to help find solutions. After a 3 1/2 hour wait ( there were two other parties that had an appt. scheduled for the same time with him) Im not even sure he reviewed my file. I was told because I didnt trust him I should find someone else. I left with no solution to my problem. You bet buddy! NO STARS for him. I would not recommend him to anyone.Tracy Bryan

First off....I paid out of pocket expenses for a cataract removal and lense replacement! It has been nothing but misery! The mono vision replacement lenses are not coralating with each other. I had lasix surgery from a different facility about 10 years ago and never had a single problem until my cataracts developed! I have had numerous touch up surgeries to try and correct the problem but I'm suffering from extreme scratchiness on my eye lids and severe dryness that requires constant eye drops from the instant I wake up until I go to bed at night! Sometimes waking up in the morning and opening my eyes is one of the most painful experiences I've ever experienced! My intermediate vision is completely blurry! I still have to wear glasses for night driving because of halos around lights! I will never recommend this facility to anyone ever! I think my future plans are to return to the Bolling Eye Center in South Bend, Indiana which is where I had my lasix done and have them try to correct the damage that has been done here at The Eye Institute of West Florida

You are just a number here . I have discovered that no matter who I talk to in this office no one there knows what is going on with my mother-in-laws cataract surgery. It is very frustrating and disappointing. I have spoken to several people via phone Jennifer , Maggie ,Robin and one other person whose name I cannot recall and each time I have to explain to them what is going on with my mother-in-law?! Really? So what's the deal with this place? Apparently too many patients, not enough staff, and high turn over in staff.
