I was recommended by my spine team texas doctor to see a chiropractor. I have spondylolisthesis with special hardware with a spinal fusion from another doctor. I started having crippling pain in my back. I expressed to the spine team texas doctor I was still in pain. He basically treated me as if I was a drug seeker and refused to change my medication. Im allergic to hydrocodone confirmed by SW joint Specialist.Doc Cooper returned one call about my reaction but was unsympathetic. I have dealt with my back conditions for 8 yrs.I was suffering from bad pain and went for a second opinion at Neurosurgeons in Dallas. I have another condition called retrolisthesis and its uncommon. My vertebrae slips forward now instead of slipping backwards. PT was recommended for a condition that couldve crippled me.My new Nero doc had ordered more serious test. Doc could not believe no one caught my new condition. All my doc did at spine team was look at mri notes per doc comments. If you want patients off of pain meds, fix the problem other then shots.I had surgery in Dallas moving rods up one level to prevent more slippage that couldve cripple me. If you have spine problems, consult a Nero surgeon. Living in pain will steal your life away, I went there for many help. But youre not there to see friendly staff, youre there to be fixed. You need detailed attention to your spine and health problems with solutions. Dont be ignored or switch doctors. I was informed I could not change doctors after my request at spine team. I was told if I was not happy You should seek outside consultation.Thankful I left. Im off pain meds still after 2 yrs and very healthy and living life again following back surgery in Dallas. My quality life is still worth it all and surgery was a success!! Yay! I no longer require any type of meds not even Advil. Im pain free now. I no longer need steroid shots either. Im a new person and very active. I used Baylor rehab facility and was well educated about how to use my back properly.Take care of your back, its not worth this kind of headache. Its unfortunate if youre in serious pain and have to beg for help. Glad Im in professional hands now and they made it easy on me based on my condition. This was my personal experience. You dont need shots if your back is corrected the right way.

My husband went back in December had back pain. They ended up doing a medial block. My husband ended up in the ER was excruciating pain and couldn't walk. Went back to spine team and they said oh well we need to do an epidural after going to his neurologist who figured out he had a pinch nerve from the previous procedure. Epidural lasted maybe a month! Fast forward to me getting tired of the run around I made him an appointment with another dr and got a second opinion. After multiple xrays and an mri he has an AVN. A vascular necrosis which is a lack of blood flow to his femur bone. So had they had done the proper X-rays and listened to my husband we would've been able to correct this issue WAY before it got worse causing him to have a serious surgery to correct it!!! Also watch out for Billing! Always charging without looking at the benefits. Thank goodness I work in the dental field and understand billing and meeting our family deductible etc!! I would never recommend Spine Team Texas to anyone!!!

Saw his PA (he is on bill) and was charged over 400.00 for a repeat injection of medicine that cost 35.00. She charged me a office fee 167.00 PLUS a 220.00 shot administration fee....this is just absurd for a 5 minute procedure. I will never go back as thats what's wrong with the medical field gouging people and gouging insurance companies. Prices and fees should be upfront before procedures. Had I know there was an additional 220 dollar charge for a shot I would have just passed as I knew it was not a permanent solution.

I had surgery with this doctor to correct spinal stenosis and ended up with zero improvement. As if this wasnt bad enough, I now have another issue that is tied to his lack of surgery skill- bowel obstruction. He washed his hands of it all and was disgustingly arrogant. Clearly doesnt take his vows to first, do no harm seriously. Find another doctor.
