Ambiance was A+++. Seafood broil was excellent, just the right amount of not being too heavy or too light. Crispy breadcrumb topping. Very tasty. One thing, the blueberry cobbler was very disappointing. I like my blueberries, but this was too mushy and looked like a school lunch serving.

A Portland institution, DiMillo's floating restaurant is a great spot to enjoy delicious seafood, friendly service and a spectacular waterfront view. It's a must for first-time visitors to the city, even if the experience feels a bit like a ride at Disney World. On a recent visit, we killed off our short 30-minute wait for an waterside table with drinks at the bar, which boasts an impressive menu of cocktails, wines and local craft beers, and welcomes kids along with their parents. After settling into a table on on the outdoor deck, we enjoyed delicious plates of fried calamari, crab cakes and DeMillo's sinfully rich Lobster Mac & Cheese. My wife also ordered a Bacon-wrapped Filet Mignon, which decent if a bit underdone.I have no doubt there are better seafood restaurants in Portland, but there are none as interesting as DeMillo's. It's worth a visit at least once for the setting alone.

Excellent service, there was a wait but they were up front about it, and over delivered. Food was very good. Haddock chowder was excellent, deep fried lobster tails were really nice. My wife had the lobster stew and then the lazy lobster. Great food, good atmosphere. Really recommend

This was a great experience dining onboard a ship. Lots of parking, you can get your parking ticket validated at the front. Food was pretty good though you can probably get the same quality food for less at other spots. Service was excellent. It's definitely geared to attract tourists. I had the bacon wrapped scallops, lobster roll, and the seafood broil. I thought the scallops were better than the main entrees.

DiMillo's was suggested from a friend who had regularly visited Portland and been here many times. We made a reservation without thinking twice, but then after chatting with some locals after we arrived, we realized it was a more "touristy" spot to go. We braced ourselves for what might have been overprice, uninspired fare, but we were pleasantly surprised! Everything we had was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the ambiance was great. The service was on point as well, and we had a lovely time aboard this "floating restaurant" (although I think that the boat may be affixed below the water, as it did not feel floaty, haha). I had the lobster Mac & cheese, which was excellent and my wife had the twin lobsters, and everything came out great. I even got to try a dry blueberry wine, which was a unique experience and something I'd never seen offered outside of Maine.I'd definitely recommend DiMillo's to anyone who's looking for a good meal!
