Say yes to Twin Lobsters!! They are so fresh and delicious! The other dishes are not that impressive, so I gave it a 4-star.

Dining on the deck at DiMillo's was a very pleasant experience for me. The prices are up there but you're obviously paying for the experience.
Mom had the lobster dinner which was good but it didn't wow me anymore than any other lobster dinner that we had in Portland did. Her friend had the stuffed lobster. Now that was pretty good. We went for lunch so I had the crab sandwich with fries. The crabcakes were fresh and flavorful as well. Both tasted pretty good. If I ever go again, I'll have to make sure I work up an appetite so I can be a little more adventurous.

We also had dessert on the deck the night before. There is a spot in the corner on the deck set up with a coffee table and couches and I insisted that we sat there. It was really nice and relaxing to lounge and look out on the water as night was falling. It was the perfect moment.

I must add that our waitresses both times were very friendly and accommodating. Good experience all together :)

Very classy ambiance! If you want to feel rich, get your lobsters here! Ordered the twin lobsters. Enjoyed it very much. Wife got rib-eye, medium well. But its was dry though.

I went here in Sep of '08, so it's been a while since i've been, but i plan on visiting Portland again in Oct, and while im there, im definitely going back to DeMillos. It's literally floating on the water, the place used to be a ferry boat i believe. It has the nautical atmosphere which is nice. Anywho, my friend and i both got the huge lobster plate where they put a bib on you. SO much food! and SO good! Part of the reason I love Portland is because the seafood is so fresh. Im a fan if this place, im definitely going again.

Had a great dinner here while visiting Portland. Yes, it is full of tourists, and yes, many of them are senior citizens, but what do you expect for a waterfront restaurant that's been around since the 1960's? It's an institution in Portland, as far as I'm concerned :)
The dining room is spacious, nautical, and elegant, made me nostalgic for the kinds of places my parents liked to take us on family vacations. We chose to eat inside, because although it was a nice night, the plastic tables and chairs on the deck just didn't provide the same level of ambiance.
The bar is huge and crowded with people waiting for their tables, or enjoying a plate of clams on the half shell.
I had the lobster, of course, and it was delicious. This being the first time I had to dis-assemble the beast myself, a kind waiter came by and gave me a hand, much appreciated.
They also serve a wine that is blended to pair perfectly with lobster, which I thought was a nice touch and quite enjoyed.
My boyfriend is a vegetarian, and unlike some of the other lobster places we called, they did put together a pasta primavera for him. It included whole baby carrots, which was odd, but other than that, it was fine.
The chocolate cake for dessert is delicious and I thought the prices were fine for such a great vacation experience.
