Found DiMilio's through Yelp, of course. We wanted something with a view. It was fabulous, and the food was surprisingly good. Nice friendly staff who made us feel welcome. I posted a photo of my hot and dirty martini - I even tried to make it again back home in CA! Very tasty.

While visiting Portland we stumbled upon this place. What a great find! The restaurant is on a ferry boat. We sat by the window with a view of the water. The service and food were good. It was a little pricey,but delicious. I had my very first lobster roll and it was to die for! There was a very generous amount of fresh succulent lobster in the roll. I liked the fact that there were healthy options on the kid's menu. My 6 year old had they baked haddock and loved it! I would definitely go back!

Beautiful restaurant on a boat. Gift shop right at the entrance. Great service.<br><br>- Bread... cold and yuck.<br>- Seafood chowder... as decent as about any other. Thick soup with a generous portion of seafood meat.<br>- Lobster roll... super yummm. Loaded with lobster and light on mayo. We ended up eating lobster rolls at everY restaurant we visited and this one was by far the best.<br>- Seafood chive... skimpy on the scallops and shrimp (although big & delicious.) Pasta is very thick and is drowned in this chive butter sauce. Omg, good.

Wandering thorugh the cobblestone streets of Portland, Maine on a Saturday evening to the tune of a very lively night scene. A large ship at the end of the marina beckoned me and my travel buddy. We investigated. Upon initial approach were not sure that this massive boat had anything going on inside. Then we saw a few people deboarding and a menu posted. We were greated by a kitchey sign- "All aboard" and opted for sea faring passage to dinner. Following a brief wait, we were handed a bouey and directed upstairs to the top deck. Our sever was lovely and attentive. The entree I selected, pecan encrusted haddock, was magnificent, and the beverages were good. While the food may be a bit on the high side in cost of fresh seafood fare in Portland, the beverages are not :) In my opinion DiMillos is well worth the cost between the beautiful, if somewhat kitchy atmosphere, and delicious fresh seafood.

Best lobster I ever had and I grew up adventuring different types of seafoods! Their scallops and shrimps were cooked PERFECTLY a rare find quality of all the places I ever ordered food from and it's not that hard to do since I am a culinary artist myself. Staff was decent too! thumbs up!
