This restaurant is on a boat which is great. You can feel the boat shake a bit when you walk up the ramp which is really cool. We came here for lunch. I wanted to try the new england clam chowder which was out of this world. We also tried the lobster stew based on a recommendation from a friend. This was a bit dissapointing as the broth tastes mostly like butter but the pieces of lobster are divine. The price point is just way too high for this. I think it was $12 for a cup so not worth it for the price but the Chowder is absolutely worth it. Taking a star off for slow service. It was mid day, not crowded and our server wasn't really into it it seemed.

To be right up front with tou all, this review will only reflect the lounge and happy hour at DiMillos. I recently met several of my friends and colleagues for a friendly get together. We use to frequent the DiMillos happy hour a lot years ago. I will admit that back then the happy hour was the best offered in the area. They had several special drink and beer prices, but best of all they offered several different complementarity appetizers. Well, those days, I guess are long gone. Now, they still offer special drink prices and have, however instead of free apps they have low cost food specials. I ordered a bowl of fresh haddock chowder - $9, which I must say was delicious. One of my friends ordered a plate of muscles and shared them with our group. They were fantastic with a garlic broth base that dull of flavor. In fact, I dipped the complementary bread in the sauce to enjoy every last drop. You could have ordered a cup of clam chowder for $4. As my friends and I chatted and reminisced about the good kid days, I noticed lots of great meals coming from the kitchen like lobsters and fried clams, so I am assuming that you can order right off the dinner menu while enjoying rmthe view from the lounge. <br>So, make sure to keep DiMillos in Portland in mind the next time you are in the mood for a happy hour. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the most important part. They offer free parking, which in Portland now is major. Bon Appetite!
