Great doctor(s) and horrible billing department who tells you one thing and then comes back later with new bills and when you try to talk to them about the bill, they want to explain the insurance procedure to you. We understand insurance, but when you don't know what insurance is going to cover--DON'T TELL THE CLIENT THAT INSURANCE HAS TAKEN CARE OF EVERYTHING ELSE, ONLY TO COME BACK A MONTH LATER WITH A NEW BILL. And if you don't listen to the insurance billing process repeatedly--they have no problem hanging up on you "on a recorded line". It doesn't matter if it is recorded, because no one in management is listening to the recordings. It's just something they have to do or say--I'm not sure which. It's not so that they can learn and change their customer service procedure. So, Great doctor. Terrible sense of customer service.

I feel like I just spent $180 for nothing. I had surgery about 1.5 years ago. You're supposed to be covered for enhancements for 2 years. At my 6 month checkup (which was free), I expressed I was having issues with my vision. They dismissed it and said they would call me to schedule a 1 year check up. I never received a call, so I made an appointment on my own. I was told that although my vision has gotten worse, it was not enough to do any refinements. Ok, I can understand that. What I don't understand is being charged $180 for the exam. What's the difference between them not contacting me for a one year exam, that was covered, and me having to contact them? Now I'm scheduled to come in for another checkup in 6 months. I'm almost hesitant to go in again for fear I'll be charged again, only to be told I'm not having ENOUGH issues for anything to be done?

Update 6/28/2023: I received an email after I sent my contact info to the Mann Eye employee who commented on my review below. They said in their note:Again, we apologize for the poor experience you had, as it in no way represents how we care for our patients and their time. Then went on to say that someone would call me to collect my feedback. Quite ironic that no one has called me. Pretty much sums up my experience.Original review:I liked the optometrist. Professional and easy to talk with. Seemed thorough. The eyewear person doesnt call you back. It took me four calls to order new lenses for my glasses. Now three weeks later I called about the status of my order. The person I talked to assured me the person at the location would call me shortly. Now its the next day and I get to start all over again. Its a 45 minute drive to their nearest location, so I really dont want to drive there to check in the status of my order.Their centralized phone strategy is very ineffective. The staff at the location will not give you their direct number. They always direct you to a centralized number. When you call that number with a question they put you on hold and call to ask the person at the location the question and then relay the information back to you. Very frustrating. They have a receptionist at the location. What do they do all day?
