My appointment was at 10:15am. I arrived early but wasn't seen until 11am. The nurse and the doctor were pleasant and knowledgeable but the overall experience caused my entire day to fall behind.

Very long wait... the staff is nice... the eye exam was very fast and rushed, resulting in blurry eyeglasses... Dr. tran could try to do a better job... took 3 days of trying to reach them to see if glasses were ready...

Surgery went well. Its been 10 years now and vision is declining in my right eye, which is to be expected. The reason I did not give more stars is due to the fact that upon speaking with the representative, he told me "this would completely get rid of my poor night vision". That was absolutely false. In addition, when they were describing my surgery, I was told that they do each eye differently, one was to be better suited for nearsightedness and one for farsightedness. I didn't appreciate their flippant response when I requested that both eyes be the same. I wish I would of demanded my request because although I am able to see much better than before surgery, my vision has always been off. One eye see's better up close, and one better far. Makes me dizzy.

I've been wearing hard lenses contacts since I was 10 years old. I am now 21 years old. In 2012 I asked my eye doctor is Lasik was an option he recommended me to Mann Eye. I set up the appointment and less than a week later I was doing the free consultation. The staff was professional and kind of friendly. I stepped into the first room where they have the machines that check your corneal thickness and whatnot. After that I moved into the second room, i was in there for maybe 20 minutes and the Dr. came in and told me that unfortunately my eyes are not thick enough for them to do the Lasik procedure. They recommended I come back in a few years. I went home upset but I was 18 and I still had some time. Fast forward to July 2015, nearly 3 years later. I asked my eye doctor about the surgery again. This time my eye doctor said that when Mann Eye sent back their report 3 years ago they recommended ICL (implant contact lenses). I did some research on it, even watched a video of the surgery on YouTube. And so I agreed lets do another consultation. Right of the bat I spoke with Grace who let me know the cost of the surgery should I proceed. The price was very high but the surgery is necessary so I was fine. When I showed up for my consultation, again the staff was very professional and a bit more friendly. This time I went through 3 separate rooms and was there for about 2 hours. I spoke with an Intern before seeing Dr. Chin. However when Dr. Chin came in she told me that unfortunately I would not be an eligible candidate for ICL due to my age. That being because in the past they have seen that a percentage folks in my age range that get the surgery end up with complications and have to have the ICL removed. Therefore Mann Eye is very picky and selective on who gets to do the surgery and who doesn't. It was recommended that I come back in a few years, or wait until I am in my 30s. I was devastated. I wish I had know prior to coming in that it was a 90% of me not being able to do it. Because I went in thinking that 100% green light all the way They make you think that everything is going well and smooth and suddenly its like a wall coming down saying Do Not Enter. I am very upset with the way things turned out, but I do understand that getting Cataracts in your 30s in better than in your 20s. I will hopefully try again in maybe 6 years, hopefully they'll take my case at that point.

I've been researching lasik for years and decided this was the year I would follow through. After making appointments at 3 other locations, I chose Mann eye because everyone was super friendly and helpful and I could get it done the fastest through them. Looking back that should have been the first red flag, but I'm young and was excited. My surgeon, Dr. Barker, was friendly and professional. He answered all my questions and walked me through the entire procedure. I'd also like to say thank you to Roland, who was very supportive and helpful in answering questions as well. Most of my issues with Mann eye have come after I paid for my procedure. I spoke with the receptionist as I was paying, saying I was feeling pretty nervous and wished my boy friend could sit with me. She stated that while he couldn't, she'd be more then happy to come sit with me and help explain the procedure. She never showed. Afterward she stated I looked so comfortable she didn't wanna interrupt me, but I would have appreciated a" hey how you holding up? Still want me to hang out with you?" Instead of just being a complete no show. I received no follow up calls that day of surgery to check in as others have stated. And have gotten calls now for EVERY SINGLE post op check in to be rescheduled. I'm extremely disappointed in their after care, and while yes I'm not blind or suffering from crippling dry eye, I feel that all I am to Mann eye is a bunch of dollar signs, and once they have your money, they'll toss you aside while accommodating patients who haven't swiped a card yet. This procedure is 100% elective, and based on my post-op care I would not recommend Mann eye.
