I was comfortable with Dr Gilder and Chase was great helping me select my new glasses . Everything else did not go well. I went to the same doctor for 20 years and had the same insurance. Being new in the area and new insurance I was a bit anxious. I was told twice someone would call me to confirm my benefits. Nobody did. When I went to my appointment there was confusion about my insurance. They finally called while I waited to get the information. Not sure why this wasnt done as they said before I came. When my glasses came in no one called. After more than two weeks I called and I was told they were in. The optician was leaving shortly could I come in the next day. No problem. When I went the next day the optician was not there. They were just giving me my glasses without fitting them. My first time with progressives someone should have fitted them. I was told the optician would call when she was in so I could go back to get my glasses adjusted. Nobody ever called. I ended up going to a different office to get them adjusted. Very poor service. Having been in healthcare for more than 35 years I know how busy it can get. However when you say you are going to call a patient you do it. Three times I was told someone would call and they never did. Sadly I was very confused about this experience.

The Good. Dr. Moreno explained all questions I had, fully and completely. The bad. I had real problems seeing the TV screen eye charts, the screen was off center and out of focus even when I got up close to check. I explained this to the technician that I was having problems, she didn't care. This is second visit, and resulted in a redo of the glasses at their cost. Will have to consider if I go back next year.August 2021 Followup: This visit the eye chart was properly aligned, different tech too. Exam went well, staff very courteous and professional.Still can't recommend optical department - pricey, and frankly, Walmart does a better job of fitting the glasses, sad to say but true.

Very professional service however the wait period prior to being diagnosed by the actual doctor was an hour! Thats too long . Then there was back and forth between floors for more testing with no elevators!
