He has completed two surgeries. One cervical that was an emergency as a disc was blown and l was in excruciating pain. Several years later a lower lumbar surgery with a plate put in. His entire team at Southlake is superb!! PT, Dr Reeves and all. I had to move last year to San Antonio. I will always have spine issues as l have degenerative disc disease. I miss Spine Team those l trust. Folks, there are not places like Spine Team. Ive read reviews saying negative things about Dr. Rothbart. His bedside manner is who he is. He is holding your spine in his hands its serious. When he scolded me for over using a heating pad that caused sunburn patches. Did l get upset? No! He even spoke to my husband. Basically in a stern tone saidkeep that away from her. He cares. When he was going over the scans and showing us what he was going to do. I told him I trusted him he didnt need to explain. Again, he says sternly. While l appreciate your trust you MUST listen UNDERSTAND what l am going to do. The surgery was serious. I had to take a leave of absence as recovery was a year. That was okay. Because he took great care of me. BTW the psychiatric appointment is a necessity standard practice for a serious surgery. Best news for all is l didnt have a cancerous tumor. Miss these guys. Rothbart and Reeves. My favorite doctors ever!! Been away a year. Yet to find a Spine Team.
