It felt like a factory, patients being moved along as quickly as possible so they can book more people and make a bigger profit. Not one member of the treatment team bothered with introductions or even a hello.
They never told me my diagnosis/ explained my prescription. They were standoffish; the interchanges were like jaws of life to get or give information. (Like medical history, my dr's, allergies, whether things are in focus during an exam...)
This can be dangerous.
The appointment ended with my eyes blurry from testing, being asked to fill out 2 pages of forms. It was perfect.

I was having a problem with my vision so I made an appointment to see a doctor here. I had been to their office before when they were in Watertown and got excellent treatment. The doctor I saw then could not see me so I was seen by another doctor. At the first appointment I was initially seen by a technician who ran a number of tests. The doctor came in to examine me. I thought he looked a bit rough and was lacking in personality, but I didn't mind as long as he knew what he was doing. He wasn't sure what was wrong but said I should come back the next day to be fitted for glasses. It was at the next appointment things went downhill. He came into the examining room still looking rough. Then, as he was placing lenses in a frame he kept wiping them on his sweater. I should have said something at the time as this was not only unprofessional but very well unhygienic. When the lenses didn't solve the problem he told me to return and see one of his colleagues. There was more that occurred that made me lose confidence but I won't get into all of that.
The next morning I called the office to cancel the appointment as I was not at all confident in the way I was being treated. The lack of hygiene was a major concern. I asked to see the doctor I had seen last year and was told I couldn't. The person I spoke to on the phone didn't appear to be listening to me and did not address my concerns.
I am now going to find another practice. I would recommend you stay away from this one.

The office is easy to get to, right next to St Elizabeth's hospital in Brighton. I even used the valet parking out front last time and it was like $4! I've never waited more than 10 minutes in the lobby before being seen, and the overall functionality of the office is the best of any Dr I've seen. I've received my prescriptions electronically which has made it easy to order glasses and contacts online wherever I can find them the cheapest.

Dr Lamoreau is so nice, kind and competent. I've had eye issues related to allergies and she's been very helpful with steering me in the right direction of contact solution, eye drops and even switching contact type. She's had me come back for a follow up when I had a flare up and I felt well cared-for and confident in her knowledge and expertise.

I can't recommend Dr Lamoreau at New England Eye Center enough!
