My husband and I both had cataract surgery on both eyes. I had mine first, probably about 3 years ago and he had his the following year. Dr. Reisman (who I think is now retired) did mine and Dr. Urman did my husband's eyes. The office in Wellesley is where you meet with the doctor but there's a day surgery facility on Rt. 117 (Main St.) in Waltham for the cataract surgery. Both the office and the surgery facility are very well run and both were a pleasant, comfortable experience. Both of us are now far sighted and only need "cheaters" (over the counter at Dollar General or Ocean State Job Lot) for reading. Other than that, we see perfectly. The procedure is so simple and well thought out. They did my worse eye first so when the bandage came off the next day, I felt like it was a miracle. I CAN SEE! Highly recommend both the surgery and New England Eye Center in Wellesley.

Impossible to get a prescription for contacts; After my doctor's appointment just before the lockdown, I called for a prescription of the trial lenses I received. The first few times the doctor wasn't available, after that they were no longer able to find me in their system (as if I'd never been there). I was never demanding or unfriendly despite initially being given the run-around; front-desk staff is not unfriendly, but also not helpful either (and seems unwilling to figure out the situation).
