The day I went the staff, location & dr are amazing. I had a very thorough exam. However, Mallory texted me on the 9th to let me know my SAMPLE contacts they had to order came in, she stated i could reply to that text. I replied with my availability. A week goes by & nothing. I call today, whoever answers the phone is extremely unhelpful & unapologetic kept reminding me shes just appointments. Itll be THREE WEEKS before I try on a pair of SAMPLE contacts. Thats absolutely ridiculous. It takes less than a second to put them in. Especially after having me wait a week due to no fault of my own. I asked to have the manager call me back & conveniently they arent in today. Dont go here if you value your time & expect prompt responses.

Gary had the cataract and lens surgery on right eye. Dr. Brund..Brundage... was the surgeon. We are giving the northwest surgery center a negative review because we were told to arrive at 2:30 pm. Surgery started at 5:20. 3 different anesthesiologist informed us they were giving him anesthesia. All 3 left and they pulled someone different at the last minute. Gary was the last one on the list. Yet we didn't know that. Dr started procedure and Gary told the Dr I haven't gotten any anesthesia because he felt the pain. Dr said "I didn't even check". We also want to give the counselor a negative review because Gary is diabetic and he hadn't eaten since the night before due to instructions. He kept telling them don't schedule me too late because my sugar gets too low. Seems the ball was dropped by everyone and it was a pretty bad experience. He's to have the left eye dine soon so I'll get back to this review

As organized and on time as a government construction project! Have waited as long as an hour & a half to be seen. Staff's only comment was "We're running a bit behind today." Seems they were running behind every appointment. The Doctors agreed it could be handled better. Happy with the medical care I received. Oh, when you call, you get a switchboard in Dallas. Forget about getting a call back! Maybe just tell them up front you won't wait any longer than 30 minutes?

My elderly mom's appt was at 10am. Mind you, she's in a wheelchair and it's not easy to get anywhere. At 10:30 I went up to the front desk and reminded them of her appt time, and then they finally called us back. The assistant that did the refraction and basic exam was very patient and careful with my mom. But then my poor mom had to wait a long time with her eyes dilated for Dr. Barker to do the actual exam. By now it was 11:30 and I walked out to remind them again that she needed to be seen. Dr. Barker asked my mom if there was any reason someone recommended her vision to be checked, or any reason a prescription change might be needed. After his 2-minute exam, he told us everything was fine and to "have a blessed day," but never bothered to apologize for our wait or to thank us for our patience. The checkout desk employee apologized to us, but why wouldn't the doctor of the practice be as humble? You won't take responsibility for your professionalism but you want to tell me to "have a blessed day"? Really?!?
