An office visit here feels a lot like a business transaction. The staff members do not take time with you and are not personable, especially the doctor. While my eye issue was resolved, I would not recommend this practice for my friends or family. After my procedure, I came very close to passing out and my vision went black. I had to sit down in the closest chair I could feel for. The assistant escorting me to the check out left me there and said to check out whenever I feel better.

I had cataract surgery here last year. While the doctors and staff are friendly I had nothing but problems since. CME, dry eye that cannot be relieved and appointments that are scheduled but when I arrive the doctor is not there. This is the fault of the staff and not the doctors. I was scheduled for YAG today, my paperwork says that someone from the surgery center will call me with a time. No call came, only a call from the accounting department letting me know how much my insurance was not going to cover. I have waited weeks to get in to have Dr Melton perform this procedure, Disappointed... This was for the Humble location.

The staff was friendly and cordial. If you go in for a routine visit. Just beware for medical reason fishing. Make sure you don't mention dry eyes, as this is considered a medical condition. This allows the office to bill your insurance at a high cost than if they billed your eye care provider, like VSP. We ended up paying $145 out of pocket for an appointment that would have been fully covered by VSP. When I made the appoint this was a question PROMPTED by the appointment staff. ~ I know better now. Disappointed

I have been going to Eye Excellence for 15+ years. Dr. JHAVER SIMEEN is fantastic. BUT they gave me an obviously new tech for the pre check which was awful. Did not know what she was doing, took twice as long as normal and made it much more uncomfortable than it should be. Very dissapointing

I'm very frustrated with Mann Eye right now. I had surgery in 2011 and had to have an enhancement surgery about 6 months later. The experience was great(no problems what so ever). Its now 2016 and my astigmatism has returned. I went in this past week and received confirmation that it was back and they could do a revision surgery(after taking some eye drops to resolve my dry eye problems). The consultant told me I would have to pay $1500 per eye for the revision(I WAS SHOCKED). When I first came to Mann Eye in 2011, I was specifically told any revision for the rest of my life was $695 per eye. Its a very odd number to remember, but I remember it clearly. I contacted the HQ and they told me the policy now is 50% of what I originally paid(which is less than $1500 per eye). Out of respect for Mann Eye, I will not state what I originally paid, but the confusion and lack of accountability to my original $695 for the rest of my life was very frustrating. Paying $3000 to fix my astigmatism again is almost what I paid the first time around..... I have called and left messages with Dina, called the consultant back, and I have not had a return call. I sincerely encourage you to keep all your original documentation, as they say I have to "prove" it was $695 per eye. This is absurd their records don't have my original contract in them?????? I would use this facility again, but I am second guessing and looking at other facilities unless Mann Eye is willing to honor their original agreement with me.
