DONT DO IT! Its been a month since my LASIK procedure and this has been the worst decision Ive ever made. The light sensitivity is excruciating. I can no longer enjoy television or movies at the theater, the screen is too bright. I havent been able to look at a sunrise or sunset or even drive without sunglasses. I constantly feel like I have something in my eye, but can no longer see close up to check. I can no longer enjoy seeing the texture of food on my fork as Im eating. Ive lost the ability to see my wife clearly when I kiss her, or see a splinter in my hand to get it out. I work with three computer monitors and all have to be on Dark Reader mode with the brightness set to minimum in order to not have a headache. I got blended LASIK and now what used to be clear at a distance, like road signs, are no longer crisp and defined, its all slightly blurry. I use lubricating drops almost constantly, Ill be spending way more money than I ever did on glasses. I used to love birdwatching, now I cant look through binoculars on anything brighter than a cloudy day. Every morning my eyes feel like I slept in contacts. I am miserable with this decision to get LASIK. I feel like Ive ruined my sight for the rest of my life. DONT DO IT!To be clear (unlike my vision), the staff was great (even though I only saw the total cost once and it was never written down and included with my paperwork, typical in a sales transaction), and the procedure itself was quick and painless, therefore they get a second star. I have no issues with the people or process, just the outcome. Ive followed all the post-op instructions and follow-up visits with my eye doctor. I was just prescribed an ocular steroid to help with the inflammation still present in my eyes. Truly, I regret the decision to get this surgery, its been an awful experience.

Very disappointed ordered glasses got them in. They were not polarized like I asked for. They wanted $200 to fix it because insurance had already been claimed, not my problem, it's there's for not getting it done right the first time. Same insurance I've always had that this place costs me more and didn't get what I wanted from other places I've been.

I got Lasik in Feb 2021 with Mann Eye. I was so excited to have perfect vision. The surgery went well and everyone was so nice. However, it is now April 2023 and every day from about 9pm to when I wake up I have chronic dry eyes due to Lasik. My eyes arent just a little bit dry- theyre so dry I cant see. They ache. The itch. Every night. Then, in the summer when the AC is blasting the air makes them even dryer.I went back to Mann. They gave me some eye drops, the same eye drops I was already using every night, throughout the night, and in the morning. And that was that. Nothing else for them to do. Of course everyone knows there is a risk that if you get Lasik you will have dry eyes but I was never told the dry eyes would last forever.Occasionally when I am asleep I scratch my eyes. This has resulted in 3 styes. The first one- no big deal. But the second and third caused half of my face to swell up and I had to go on antibiotics.I have explained this to Mann multiple times and they dont seem to care nor do they offer any useful and lasting remedies for dry eyes. I have since switched doctors and they were a little bit better but in the end this is my life now. Dry eyes everyday. I regret lasik so much. I want my $5k and bad vision back.

The first time I went to Mann was at the office here in Sun City. It was a great experience. Then I traveled to Austin to the Mann location to see an ophthalmologist. She was great. She diagnosed the problem. BUT, the technician who did the initial exam damaged my lens. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but she seemed to be in a bad mood. When she mounted my glasses on some device to read the prescription, I heard the lens hit something. She gave the glasses back to me and I saw something on the lens. I just assumed it was a smudge from her fingers. When I got home and tried to clean the lens, I was devastated to find it had a long vertical scratch. I keep those lenses spotless. I had cleaned them before going to that appointment. Now I am dealing with trying to get something done about this. It's been six days now and no response. If this isn't resolved quickly, I would never recommend Mann, no matter how good their doctors are.
