    I dont normally review places on Yelp, but after my experience at Mann Eye Institute I felt the need to. Last year my dad had Cataract surgery at the Mann Eye in Houston and recommended it to me when I started looking for a place to get LASIK here in Austin. I went in for the consultation, everything went well, and I was scheduled for the surgery the next week.brbrEverything from the initial consultation to the surgery was great. All instructions were explained thoroughly and I felt like I had a great understanding of what to expect. Im somewhat of a worrier (ok, Im a huge worrier) and I panicked about the actual surgery and probably ended up asking 1 too many questions. Even though I talked their ears off, I never felt like my questions were a bother or that I was asking too much. Everyone was extremely nice and the whole staff was genuinely excited about LASIK which made the process all that much better. brbrFor anyone curious about the actual surgery, it was really quick. I had little to no wait time the morning of and was in and out within an hour or so. I went home and took a nap and when I woke up, things were pretty clear. I had a follow up visit the next morning that I was able to drive myself to and my vision has only continued to improve since then. brbrIve had glasses/contacts for the past 15 years with -5.25 vision in each eye. Basically all I saw were blobs of color. At my follow up they told me I have 20/15 vision now which is pretty impressive :) brbrOverall, what Im trying to say is that this is a great place to go. The people are friendly, the doctors are trustworthy and the overall experience is a great one. If youre thinking about getting LASIK I would definitely recommend it, Im only a week in a I can already tell that its a life changer.

    Easy, straight forward, and friendly. I have 20/15 vision following my surgery and no complications thus far two weeks in. Unlike some of my coworkers who told me their eyes were burning that night, I woke up that night without any discomfort at all and perfect vision. Would highly recommend.

    I was super nervous about getting my lasik procedure done.... I mean come on they are going to slice my eye open. Everyone was really nice, and helped calm my nerves. I woke up this morning and I feel great! Just like they promised.

    I had LASIK surgery a week ago, I now have 20/15 vision! The staff here is amazing and makes you feel so comfortable. I would highly recommend Mann Eye Institute for LASIK, I have zero complaints!
