Weary of all the great reviews? I was. I thought, how could a "chain" eye clinic provide me with a good experience and great surgery. I had saved up and looked at a few of all the locations out there. I passed on some of the more expensive clinics (dude, your brother owns Dell, you don't have to be expensive...) and also passed on places where the reviews were kinda weird (who doesn't give their patients something to relax before the surgery!). This led me to Mann Eye and the Wongs. Fortunately, due to timing, I was only able to get in at Mann Eye. I went for my free consultation and honestly, it was a little quicker than I imagined it would be. After a few minutes from checking in they had my glasses and already had an idea of how off my eyes were from 20/20. Within 20 minutes of arriving they already knew what would be needed to correct my eyes. Because it all happened so fast I honestly felt like it "could" be too good to be true. Did they really have my correct eye adjustments? Are they 100% sure they aren't going to blind me?! I ended up meeting with Roland to discuss the financial side and he did a great job of explaining how quickly my eyes would actually see 20/20 (he had his eyes done there too). I figured, alright, they can do it a week later so let's get it on! I went through with the procedure and had the super nice Dr. Mann perform the operation. It lasted less than 3 minutes for both eyes. My lovely girlfriend drove me home but I actually drove myself to my followup the next morning. 4 months out and I'm actually seeing 20/15 so I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Mann, Roland and the rest of the staff in the Fortuna Suite location. I highly recommend LASIK surgery, in my opinion I would have paid double the amount because it's amazing to wake up and see the world clearly.

Dr. Barker and his staff are the best!! I received LASIK surgery yesterday afternoon, woke up this morning and had better vision then I ever thought possible. I had worn corrective lenses for the last 30 years, this is a complete life changer. I actually work in the medical industry and from the time you walk in and you are greeted by Kristen and the staff to till you finally meet with the doctor, this practice is an industry leader. Dr. Barker is hands down one of the best refractive doctors in the area, and his genuine care for patient outcomes is unmatched.

Went in to Mann Eye Institute today for a troubleshooting evaluation of my vision, which had been steadily declining for the past year or more.I had all the usual extensive tests performed and an Rx for my glasses done.My right eye's vision had declined from almost 20/20 to worse than 20/40.I'd had lens replacement surgery, at a different eye clinic in Austin, about four years ago.After all the tests, Dr. David Tremblay suggested that I consider Yag laser capsulotomy, which removes protein build-up from the back of my artificial lenses. He told me that since they'd already dilated my eyes, that it would be a short simple procedure.I said, "OK, I'm ready to do it now."About five minutes later, the vision in my right eye had been restored to about 20/25. A miracle. I feel blessed.I can hardly wait 'til the same procedure is performed on my left eye. Painless, quick, miraculous!

It's been a total of 10 days since I got LASIK at Mann eye. Words cannot express how amazing the experience was. It was so simple and I at my post op, I was in tears because I could see 20/15. Dr. Mann, Dr. Cessac, Roland, Jara, Alyssa, Mirta, Eric and all, I can't believe how well I can see! Im beyond grateful and happy with every aspect of the procedure, thank you! It couldn't have been a better experience!
