It's been about 6 months since my LASIK procedure with Mann Eye, and I have to say I am very happy with the results. It's so simple and straight forward it's hard to believe more people don't do the procedure.

The facility they run in the museum district is run very well. Everyone seems to be on top of their game, and everything is very efficient. I can't stress how much I appreciate that.

Now. I feel like there's a disclaimer that's needed for those seeking this procedure, but you won't really hear from any source. (I didn't) During the actual procedure you are of course awake, but they don't tell you what's going on at all. It's just lie down then they (the staff) all start talking amongst themselves as though you are catatonic. You look at something; then there's a suction cup being attached to your eye and a burning smell (no pain, but WTF). Then, turns out you're not done yet so there's another super disco-y light you look at when the surgeon presumably sticks a tool in recently burned eye and...
you go blind.

Yes. You go blind. It's like 15 seconds total, if that. But the fact that no one warned me it was coming freaked me the frack out. It was like... ok, i can do this, i can do this, no big deal, OMG YOU MESSED UP?

Turns out everything is fine. Now you know what you're getting into.

Oh, and I don't know if it's possible, but if you already have a dry-ish eye beforehand request to get your dry eye drop prescription immediately after surgery so you can start pronto. The free eye drops they give you don't do anything.

I went from a -11 to 20/20 in one afternoon. Dr Green, you are amazing! The staff is extremely thorough in pre-op procedure; they made sure I got all the information and what to expect during and after. These are also the nicest and caring people in the world. I was given follow calls on a regular basis the first few days just to make sure I am doing OK, and I am! Great work Guys and Gals!

After almost ten years using contact lenses, last year I suddenly became allergic to them. I tried many optometrists until I found doctor Mann. Their customer service is very impressive. Their staff really take care of you.
They treated my eye allergies. My eyes never felt better.
I had my LASIK with Dr. Mann last summer.
I even took my sister to get her LASIK with doctor Mann as well.
Mann Eye Institute exemplifies the best qualities of patient care.

I recently had IntraLASIK surgery through Eye Excellence, and I highly recommend them. I went in for my consultation in mid-December, and after I found out that I qualified, I was able to schedule an appointment for the end of January. They do all of their LASIK procedures on one or two Fridays each month, so your choice of days is a little bit limited. Other than that, everything went very smoothly. They explained the entire process up front in and provided as much detail as I wanted. They also answered all of my questions, and followed up the week before my procedure to remind me to get my prescription eye drops and use them the day before. The whole process the day of the surgery lasted about two hours, and it was completely painless. I haven't had any problems since the surgery, and I can see perfectly! The only thing I wish they could have done differently is give me a copy of the images from my eye scans like they do at MRI clinics. For some reason they wouldn't do it. They also have two different waiting areas, and it gets a little confusing in there when they are crowded. I had to wait an extra 15 or 20 minutes during one of my follow-up appointments, but all of my other appointments went well, I can't really complain.Overall, I definitely recommend Eye Excellence to anyone looking to get LASIK surgery. They took great care of me.

I've got to give it to my Mom...this was one hell of a graduation gift. After having a really awful high school graduation experience with a family emergency, I never got to experience the freedom or joys of being out of school. Once everything calmed down, my mother decided to treat me to an eye surgery that i desperately needed.

I had awful vision to say the least. I worn glasses and contacts all my life but got sick of changing them everyday and it never fixed the problem. Even with corrective lenses, I still got severe headaches and maintained difficulty seeing from afar. So one day in Febraury of 2006, me and the madre decided to head on up for a free exam at the Mann Eye Center just to see what could be done. After being told for the past 3 years that my eyes weren't strong enough for Lasik, I didn't really get my hopes up. After about an hour, Dr. Mike Mann came in and told me that they could perform a procedure on my eyes and give me close to perfect vision. I was amazed yet of course very skeptical, however my mom knew how much it meant to me so she went ahead and wrote out the check.

The procedure was amazing! Using clamps, the opened my eyes and did the procedure. I saw the whole thing--strangely amazing. Now I know what its like to be on paralytics during surgery. Sweet! Of course they gave me valium to relax me. It was completely painless!

In 24 hours, I had perfect vision. Even better than they originally planned for me. I had to use Rx Eye Drops for the next 30 days to let my retina and iris heal completely, but the whole thing was amazing.

I highly recommend getting the treatment if you have bad vision. $4000.00 is a small investment for something so important like your eyes. I couldn't be more thankful to my mom after that.
