20/15 Vision in both eyes, from 20/80, and 20/140. I've had eye injuries before - they weren't a problem. Everything was fully explained, results were great. Procedure was literally in and out in 30 minutes on the day of (you do screenings, and some other things in the days beforehand).

Do keep to the recommended recovery regime -- just get rest the first couple of days, don't try to "see" everything without glasses, just rest up. My brother didn't, and had to go back for followup procedures.

Dr. Ellis is great - the nurses are great - everyone polite and kind, and the procedure turned out wonderfully! Completely satisfied, and it's been 5 years. I wish everyone could experience this.

So far my experience is nothing more than going to a booth at the Arts and Wine Festival, giving out my phone number and getting called no less than 6 times in 2 days. While at the festival, there were two representatives giving conflicting information. I was told that Lasik can be performed on ANYONE and that I should buy into the lifetime plan. The sales staff clearly gets paid on commission. Sounds like a conflict of interest to me. I never thought that eye surgery would be akin to buying a car.

I have a bad feeling about this place and the reviews back that up.

No thanks. I'll send my husband elsewhere.

I just had an enhancement done. The customer service is awful. When making the appointment, they neglect to tell you about the pre-op paperwork which took me way past my 9 a.m. appointment time. When I mentioned this to the financial counselor, her comment was I was there before and should have remembered. Does she think I have a memory like an elephant? That was 4 years ago. She also said my left eye was the one to be operated on when it was my right. I was told I could only have the epi-lasik procedure which would cost more. After I countered no restrictions were ever mentioned when I paid for my initial surgery, she spoke with Dr. Ellis and I got my enhancement for the original $250. What she didn't tell me was it would be the standard procedure and not the epi-lasik. I found this out when I had to sign another form. I don't have time to cover other bothersome things. I'll just say there was a bait and switch feel to the transaction. My surgery seems to be fine. However, if I ever need another enhancement, I'll save my money and go elsewhere, although I know it will cost me more. No one should have to spend 4-5 hrs. for a 9:00 appt. time and deal with questionable ethics.

Where do I begin? So many great things to say.

I started having problems with my contacts a couple months before my wedding. I decided to have a consultation because there was no way I was wearing glasses on my wedding day. Besides having to wait longer than expected to be seen, the consultation went well (after that time I never had to wait long again). Everyone at the office was so helpful when I was making my decision whether or not I wanted to move forward. I kept asking "I'm getting married in 30 days, would you do this?!" They reassured me and I decided to do it. My surgery was May 1st and my wedding was June 2nd.

I had to have epi-lasik but Dr. Ellis did an amazing job. The recovery the first few days was miserable, but they give you sleeping pills and pain meds which makes the time fly haha. By day 4 I was back on my feet. Blurry vision but at least up and about. At my wedding I could see perfectly. My only side effect is dry eyes at night but I put in a cream before I go to bed and don't even notice it.

Today I am seeing 20/20!!!

I recently had a problem where I got something stuck in my upper eyelid that was causing severe pain. Not only did they answer our call at 3 AM!! but they saw me as soon as they opened in the morning and Dr.Chen fixed the problem and made me as good as new. They were so helpful, so kind, and so good at what they do.

I would recommend anyone to them. I am so glad I had the procedure. I see better now than I ever did with contacts or glasses. It's amazing!!

Not to mention they are the most affordable office in town. :)

I heard an ad on the radio and decided to call the 800 number to see what Lasik was all about. I felt like the information that they gave me was accurate, but I feel that the company was omitting a layer of information. I did not feel comfortable doing my procedure here.

I give this place one star because I feel that the services provided could be better. I did a consultation here and was unimpressed with the facilities and customer service that Ellis Eye & Laser Medical Center provided.

I did not do my procedure here because I found that the business was not catering to me and my needs. This place lacks organization and their facilities seems to have poor upkeep. Ellis caters to those looking for a less expensive procedure, or those on the fence to save a few hundred dollars.

I would not doubt the effectiveness of a procedure done here as apposed to a high tier Lasik facility, but I would not want to risk being a patient with a less-than-ideal outcome with Ellis Eye & Medical Center.

Edit:
I would recommend Newman Lasik, their facilities and staff are jaw dropping. Take the time and make an appointment at both, it is after-all--your eyes. Compare the differences and please feel free to comment on this.
