i had great experience at this location, everybody was very friendly. i got my surgery about a year ago, it was very seemsless.

I recently had laser surgery with Dr Ellis in El Cerrito. I done a lot of research before having the actual surgery performed. After reading some of the reviews I was a little worried. I went for a pre op and I was amazed about the friendly service that was given to me. Everyone with whom I came in contact with was pleasant and very professional. I was greeted by a very happy person named I think Debby and then was seen by a Dr. Chen and then taken back for my surgery. I was very nervous and scared. There I met the most amazing person (nurse) Bobby and her staff. After talking to her I would go back to have surgery on any part of my body as I felt she would take care of me through anything. Her knowledge of the procedure and her humor made me so relaxed and excited to have the surgery (I think the drugs also helped) Then I met Dr. Ellis. He personally shook my hand and thanked me for choosing him to do the surgery. He asked me where I lived and what my job was. When he heard where I was originally from he asked me if I knew of a town and a restaurant close by. And amazing enough I did and we had a nice conversation about the countryside. He was not in a hurry as so many Dr.s are. They talk to you as they are going out the door. All in all I could not be happier with my eyesight and the remarkable service and care I received. I have referred several of my friends and would encourage anyone wanting laser surgery for better sight to go to Dr. Ellis.

I originally booked an appointment here to check out Ellis Eye, but ended up having LASIK elsewhere. Now if only the staff at this office would stop calling me! They have called TWICE A DAY EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK. The ladies calling me are not very polite, either. No other Lasik center I looked into harassed me like this!

I got laser eye surgery here 3 years ago and now my vision is worse than it was before I got the procedure. Somewhere in the fine print it I'm sure it says this could happen but I would expect that they cater a little to their previous clients. I called and they do absolutely nothing about it except I could come in and pay the regular fee for a eye exam and start the process of getting the surgery over again (for the same fee as a new customer). Needless to say I'm not happy with the service. They give the impression that it will last a lot longer than it did by saying it's a investment and you will end up saving money by not having to buy contacts or glasses for years or forever. If you value good costumer service and want to actually have long lasting improved vision you should seek service somewhere else. I would not have done it if I would have known it would last for such a short period of time. It's not worth your money and Dr. Ellis is ONLY worried about getting as much money as he can.

You realize how important the outcome of this surgery in your life is when you take a real look at your need to wear a pair of glasses in order to observe the world around you.<br>It is wonderful to finally be able to see the faces of your children and your husband in detail, the pictures of your family on your phone or computer, how you can finally see the textures of your cooking, even being able to look at your own face while doing makeup. All this was lost, or at least, needed the help of glasses to enjoy these things.<br><br>Today, I am free. and it is splendid.<br><br>I am grateful to Dr. Ellis for the results from this laser surgery. I have returned to my young eyes from the past.<br><br>This comment is particularly for the San Jose Clinic: the attention of your staff is amazing. Veronica and Marleny are people who make you feel very comfortable in every aspect. You arrive nervous about the magnitude of the event and they reassure you with their gentle smiles and help. They are always friendly and their attention to you comes first. And the same goes for Dr. Jennifer, who saw through my tests and followed through on the following days from my surgery. She was always very considerate with me and answered all my questions and calmed my doubts.
