Once I learned my vision was stable, I was recommended to the Mann Eye Institute by a friend. In weighing my options, the staff at the Katy location were very knowledgeable and friendly in their approach. Ashley Hassen was extremely helpful in addressing ALL my questions and concerns in a very timely manner. Her professionalism and personality is an asset to the team at Mann Eye Institute in Katy as she made me (and future patients) comfortable in deciding this is the right team of doctors/technicians to perform my LASIK procedure. Dr. Wright performed my surgery, which went off without a hitch, and I felt comfortable every step of the way. The procedure was painless and if all their well laid out instructions are followed, the pre and post surgery recovery is a breeze. I would highly recommend the Mann Eye Institute to anyone considering LASIK, and the staff make the process seamless. The best return on investment of $4K you could ask for!!

I had lasik surgery two weeks ago at Mann Eye and Im already seeing 20/15! The staff was amazing! Ashley answered all of my questions. Dr. Wright was so great, as well as Tina, and Laurie. I had a minor panic attack while they were cutting the flaps on my eyes and all three of them talked me through it and helped me calm down so that they could finish. They never rushed me and were really sweet and calming in talking me through the procedure and bearing with my anxiety. This was one of the greatest decisions Ive made and I would do it all over again. Ive been recommending them to everyone I know! They were all so friendly, professional and did a wonderful job! I cant praise them enough!

I just returned from the Mann Eye center on 2920 and have to tell everyone how extremely delighted I am! Yep, Im one of Dr. Beavers fans, but now I know that Dr. Baumohl is just as good - except he doesnt sing. Ah well - but today I popped in on the spur of the moment to see about getting a new set of glasses - VERY quickly! Fortunately, Cindy was the one who came to wait on me - she is that fantastic gal who two years ago listened to me gripe about not being able to get the executive bifocal any longer. I am on the computer quite a bit and need the bifocal to be longer so I dont have to move my head back and forth so much. Cindy explained what could be done, fitted me with a wider set of computer frames, ordered a 35 width bifocal and placed it higher so I didnt have to raise my chin so far and generally made my working life much easier. I have found that this computer set works well for my reading too, but they have a less expensive plastic frame which feels rather heavy. Inasmuch as I will be going to a conference next week and will need the computer glasses I decided at the spur of the moment to pop in and see if a new set with a lightweight frame could be made up and ready by next Wed. Well, Cindy found a perfect frame, measured everything, found the new prescription that I hadnt used yet and even called the optical place to make sure - then assured me that YES the glasses would be ready by next Wed. Now - even better - by the time I got home, Cindy had called with a message from Dr. Baumohl. What service!! A BIG thumbs up for Mann Eye Institute!

I had a great experience with the Mann Eye Institute on Braker! I went in for a checkup and to get new lenses and frames. I arrived 15 minutes late since I originally went to a different office and the receptionist was very sweet and assured me it was no problem. brbrIve never had so much fun during an eye exam than I did with Maryann who is not only hilarious but did a great job making me feel comfortable during the eye exam. I have a strange anxiety about the lens comparisons (which is clearer, 1 or 2?) and Maryann was very patient with me. When testing for glaucoma and testing my pupils, she was very thorough and quick which made the whole process painless. Dr. Beavers is a very nice guy and even sang a song during the examination which added to the fun yet professional atmosphere of the office. Maryann gave me the right amount of grief when she caught me taking selfies in the different frames in the lobby. Before my eyes were completely dilated, they let me explore the frames with the help of Stephanie. Stephanie is very stylish and instantly knew what frames would look good on me and compliment my style. She gave me some great advice for finding the right fit that Ive somehow never been told in the last 13 years of wearing glasses. They used an I-pad to take photos of me in the different frames, make comparisons, and measure pupil distances which made the experience better than any Ive experienced beforebrbrI definitely suggest going to Mann Eye Institute on Braker for your next eye exam!

The location is in market street above Michael Kors but you enter in the centre of market street behind the tapas bar . I just had an eye exam and the appointment was 8am and they saw me at 8am no wait and the techs were great and explained what they were going to do. Dr Charrier was very nice and explained everything very clearly. I also asked about contacts and they give me a set to try and I come back for a follow up again I got the same great service . The only downside is they have no frames on site so you will need to go to a sister store or take your prescription to another store . There was no issue with them giving you the prescription I have had issues with other opticians not wanting to give you the prescription.
