I was referred to Dr. Kleinfeldt for cataracts by Bayview Optical. Cataracts were strongly diminishing my vision and I wouldn't drive at night because I didn't feel I could safely. The vision experts at OSM explained everything in detail so I completely understood what cataracts were and how they, through surgery, was going to correct the problem. I used to wear very thick glasses as a kid, then very strong contacts as an adult. Now I only need readers for using the computer or reading & polarized sunglasses while driving on sunny days. I love Dr. Kleinfeldt and Dr. Ellenberg at OSM in Livonia. They have both taken very good care of my eyes. The intake staff are always kind, friendly and patient. Dr. Ellenberg even removed large floaters for me. I can't pay enough wonderful compliments to him and the staff. I would surely recommend OSM to anyone experiencing issues, problems with your vision.

this facility was top notch when i was a weekly patient with dr. mahmoud al-yassir. i had bell's palsy which put my left eye in danger. dr. al-yassir brought me back from the brink of blindness to totally functioning eye. but that was then and now dr. al-yassir is gone and i see bad reviews. we have an appointment coming and i hope it's not as bad as they are saying.

Went to see Dr. Verb for a glaucoma eval. Very minimal explanation with quick exam. I am 30 years old with no family history of glaucoma and he prescribed drops. Well Dr. said no side effects I beg to differ. I took myself off the nasty drops, went back to my local optometrist to have the IOP re-checked. What do you know- NORMAL IOP. Doctors these days don't look at the big picture. My IOP was high due to anxiety. I get two high IOP readings in my ENTIRE life and were going to jump the gun here and say that I have glaucoma suspect. I think not. I'm a nurse and I ain't no dummie. Docs needs to look at the person as a whole, not just treat symptoms. IOPS fluctuate, larger cup to disc size NORMAL for myopic eyes. Sorry doc, your wrong.
