Last week my 5yr old had an appt I confirmed his appt twice over the phone and took off work that day so I could get my son there. When we got to his appt they told me his Dr retired and the opthamologist they scheduled him with doesnt take his insurance. I was a little irritated because I talked to them twice before the appt and nothing was said but ok no big deal we'll reschedule. They rescheduled him for today so I called off work to once again be able to take him just to sit in a waiting room for 45 min then have someone tell me the Dr they rescheduled with isn't a pediatric eye doctor and won't see my son due to his condition but will refer me to forty fort pediatrics. Now I'm livid I took off two days of work and my son two days of school for this and now we both have to take another day off next week thanks to the eye care specialist!!! As if life isn't already complicated enough during the pandemic now im losing atleast 500$ in work wages for going to these nonsense appts!!!

I'm not a person who complains often but I'm very dissatisfied with my recent experience at ECS. Let me start by saying I've been a patient there off and on for many years and never had any issues. The way the optical department treated me today was just plain rude. I'm having an issue seeing with my new lenses. First guy told me i may need to adjust for 2 weeks. (I've been eating glasses since I was 5, never had to adjust for 2 weeks). But I thought ok I'll try it. I did what he said for 2 days. I had to switch back bc I cant see signs when I'm driving. On top of that the lense themselves seem thicker then I expected which no one ever told me would happen. That changes the entire appearance of the new frames on my face and unfortunately I'm not sure I like the way it looks now. It's no ones fault but I should have opportunities to make exchanges. I was basically told too bad so sad, you picked them out and our staff is knowledgeable so thers no mistake with the prescription. Basically deal with it. The second guy from today's visit was the worst. He told me he sees nothing with my new glass after all the things I've been telling him. Then he literally got up and walked away from me to get another patient without even finalizing my visit. I had to interrupt him to ask what to do next bc he left me in the chair. Other optical places allow patients opportunities to make changes. At the very least I should be eligible for a credit toward different lenses. Being told "well you picked them out" is rude. Yeah I did pick them out and they looked normal before the lenses were put in. None of my other glasses look weird after having new lenses put in them so why would I think this would be any different? If someone was supposed to warn me of that, they didnt. I understand things happen and I'm a reasonable person. But dismissing my concerns and treating me like a burden is not good healthcare. Period. I wont be going back if this doesnt get resolved and I wont be recommending it either. My doctor was nice but those staff people i dealt with in optical today had zero compassion. I work in healthcare myself and I would never treat a patient that way.

I am visiting from Florida, brought my 80 yr old mother for an exam. I was appalled at the way she said the doctor spoke to her. Her glasses came in 2 weeks after the supposed date (which became a problem since her arm was broken), of course this was blamed on Covid. I dropped her off to pick up the glasses and they handed them to her out the door. She was told she needed an appointment if she wanted them fitted. Where I come from that is negligent. If you need an appointment to be fitted, and by the way, who doesnt want to make sure your glasses fit and you can see with them, you should be given this information at the original appointment. After getting permission to see her, she needed minor adjustments. You must pay in full for your glasses at the time of your exam and then are told you cant have a receipt. She spent over $600 for glasses. You get better service at WalMart and dont have to break the bank to pay. My advice .... STAY AWAY!!
