The after hours answering robot does not give you anyway to contact someone for an emergency. Totally unacceptable, especially for a practice that does such a high volume of surgery.

My husband had his cataracts taken care of here. We ended up paying almost $5,000 put of pocket we didn't need ti because the lady in the billing office never told us they didnt accept my husbands supplement insurance with his medicare and kept saying it was copay amount. I specifically asked several times if they accepted the insrance and was told yes. I even questioned about the suppliment and was told because was chosing the laser and upgrade lense why wasn't covered. After the fact was told pretty much to bad the surgery was done and paid in full and we should have made sure ourselves. We trusted in them to know what were doing and to be honest. The only way I found out thet didnt accept the insurance is because told me when tried to make an appointment for him for new glasses. The insurance company themselves told us thet accepted. Also the doctor did tell him if he went with the more expensive lense most likely wouldn't need glasses well he does. He gets disirented without them. Do not trust what they say. They don't care about the patient but the bottom line. It turns out if he went to a doctor that accepted the supplement we wouldnt have had to pay this huge out of pocket expense.

I would not recommend Eye Care Specialists in Kingston PA. They messed my order for glasses and argued with me that I did not order transitions for my glasses. The way the optical tech treated me was terrible. If I made a mistake I would admit it. The tech said I did not order because it was in the computer. Well that goes both ways and my wife was with me when we ordered and said that I did order. Worst customer service I ever encountered. We will never go there again.

Dr is great. The staff that actually makes the glasses are horribly rude and unhelpful. Still waiting for new glasses for 3 weeks. I'd look for another Dr if I could see anything.
