Was at Shaws buying a few things for my hotel room. I asked the cashier if she new of any great seafood restaurants in town and she suggested this place... All I have to say is mehhhh. I've had better! It was expensive for our budget and totally not worth it! Service was also mediocre.

We drove to Portland, Maine from Boston JUST for the lobster! I've never really had a whole lobster and what better place to have the full experience other than Maine?? We all sprung for the Surf 'N Turf, a whole lobster and a sirloin steak. Our waitress was gracious enough to walk us through how to crack through the shells of the lobster. We strapped on our bibs and got down and dirty in lobster goodness! Super fun! Unfortunately, all our steaks were overcooked and not properly seasoned, which was a big disappointment. Buuut...the view and the lobster made up for it! MMM MMM LOBSTAHHH!

Sorry but must disagree. Although the ambience emits elegance, the service failed to. We prepared for a lovely meal but the waitstaff with tardiness, impoliteness and lack of warmth ruined an otherwise pleasant evening. Keep the chefs and decorators and upgrade the staff; this may equal the quality they aspire to have.

This "fish" (haddock maybe don't remember the exact fish) sandwich was delicious. <br><br>The lobster roll was flavorless & rubbery, served classic with the hotdog roll perfectly toasted. I would skip the lobster roll but go again for the fish sandwich. <br><br>The service was "ok" however very very very slow.

You would be hard pressed to find a better view in Portland, the boats, the water, the airplanes overhead. Bring your checkbook this is classic tourist zone. The food is passable, its all about the view. <br>The service is spotty, seemed like no one was real happy about working there, we visited on a Monday at 5pm, lots of empty tables, not real busy. At $85.00 I don't expect to have to ask for refills on drinks. <br> We were seated at a table upstairs further point out on the property, we did notice that not one single employee said, "goodbye" Thanks" "see you again"<br><br>I expect more at these prices.
