I always find that when you go to a nicer restaurant, the service goes down hill and DiMillo's was no different. The service was okay, but we went there for a later lunch after visiting the lighthouses in Portland. Called ahead and barely waited five minutes after we got there.

The food was great. Got the mixed seafood broil and the filet mignon. Definitely recommend the mashed potatoes despite other reviews- thought they were fantastic. You got a lot of food for the price- especially as you sometimes pay a lot of seafood but don't get much.

They had some really good priced lunch specials but you can order from the whole menu as well. As for parking- they have their own lot where you can get your ticket validated for while you're there. We parked in a different garage since we didn't know.

Dimillo's is a must stop even for drinks when you are at the Portland waterfront. The last time I had dinner there we had a fantastic steak which had to be at least a inch and a half thick. I'm drooling just writing about this.

To say that Dimillo's get crowed is a understatement. On weekends there can be a hour plus wait for a table. Make a stop for dinner at Dimillo's soon.

You're really paying the view at this place. If you want great food, check out Old Port Sea Grill or Three Sons Lobster instead. First off, the wait was a little long for a late 2 p.m. lunch. We waited for about 25 minutes, but after that, the waitstaff though was really nice and attentive which goes a long way in my book.

My boyfriend and I came during lunch and they've got a few specials. I got a fried seafood platter with fried shrimp, clams, scallop and haddock with a baked potato for like $17 which isn't too bad, but the taste of the food wasn't anything special. Just tasted like generic fried seafood without much flavor. I might as well have bought something frozen from Costco.

My boyfriend ordered a 1 and half pound lobster with oysters, a clam chowder, salad, and dessert (a yummy blueberry cobbler) and that was about $40. The clam chowder I remember was really good and clam filled, and the dessert was to die for.

Overall, I didn't find anything to be above average except the view (which by the way looks great when you're sitting by the window but photographs terribly).

Ive been here 3 times and each time I get less than I hoped for (and paid for!). The food is just ok, the drinks are eh and the prices are no bahgain. Its a great location, cool views but feels more like a tourist trap than anything else. Especially with all the great foodie options around, I'll keep walking by next time Im in Portland.

Don't remember the food, remember a curious seal swimming by. It made my day.
