Careless customer service: I waited more than 2 months for my appointment to be informed by letter few days before my consultation that it was canceled. When I called to reschedule, the front desk assistant said the only thing they could do was to offer me another data in 4 months. When I asked then to be referred to another eye doctor, she suggested me to find it somewhere else.

People were nice. Not a long wait. But I question their hygiene practice. I came for a general check up and next day I got a bacterial infection in one of my eye. The lens tool they used on my eyes, the doctor hand without glove touching my eye lids. All questionable.

I hired Dr. Kapadia to perform an upper blepharoplasty because of his high ratings. To my dismay, the procedure was painful (was not properly numbed) and the results are horrible. He misjudged and took way too much off one side, not enough off the other. This was confirmed by another top plastic surgeon 3 months post op. I am now left with asymmetric eyelids and a horrific scar that consumes my left eye. After seeing the post op photos Dr. Kapadia offered me a refund contingent upon me signing a release form stating no legal action could be take upon him and he requested I remove all negative reviews. The form went on to state if I said any further negative things about Dr. Kapadia I would be fine $500 for each "offense" plus legal fees incurred. I will not have my freedom of speech threatened nor will I be bribed to withhold the truth to the public about him. If the truth saves one person from going through what I went through that will be compensation enough.

Impossible to get a prescription for contacts; After my doctor's appointment just before the lockdown, I called for a prescription of the trial lenses I received. The first few times the doctor wasn't available, after that they were no longer able to find me in their system (as if I'd never been there). I was never demanding or unfriendly despite initially being given the run-around; front-desk staff is not unfriendly, but also not helpful either (and seems unwilling to figure out the situation).

I suffer from severe blepharitis and suffer with symptoms like burning eyes, painfully random inflamed eyelids, extreme dry eye and light sensitivity. This affects my daily quality of life including essential activities like driving. After I spend a good hour with Melinas assistants dismissing me, she comes in for a good 3 minutes and puts more drops into my eyes (blinding me for the rest of the day and for some hours in the next day). She looks at my eyes and tells me YOUR EYES ARE VERY DRY. Then, speaks to her assistant and instructs them to give me some home remedies that I have already tried multiple times... for over a year. This is the second time she has done this. I come out of her appointments with my eye symptoms worsened and her assistants and her have no real solutions. Go to another ophthalmologist, one that actually cares. Thanks for nothing dr. Morkin.
