From the management, to the service, to the quality of food, this is one of the lower end place to get seafood. We were embarrassed and hardly enjoyed our time. One of the managers "Johnny Dimillo" came over and made us feel the farthest from guests.

I just feel bad for anyone who doesn't see through the crooked smiles around the boat. This is a very shady and unethical group who runs their management. Coming from someone who worked there for almost an year. This place is the epitome of a business in which will uplift and promote those who do little to nothing to deserve it and barely work hard. They will also knock down and fail to recognize the employees that put there everything into the place. The food is like any other seafood but if people only knew what this place has done to some of their workers with wrongful firings, failure to pay correct wages etc. From my experience there group of waitstaff and kitchen seemed to be a great team to go out and party throughout the week after work. if you didn't participate as a coworker you won't seem to fit in. Go to Luke's Lobster, go to Scales, go to Boone's Fishouse. Avoid this trap.

Chose DiMillos for my birthday dinner due to its location, outdoor seating and unique charm. I had the seafood arrabiatta, and my best friend had the sirloin cooked to medium (pictured). Mine: Ill start by saying the Pacific Northwest is home for me, and I am a huge lover of seafood after growing up there. I was disappointed to find that this dish was actually just a very sticky egg noodle, topped with a spicy red sauce and some mediocre seafood. The lobster had an odd flavor, and that should have been the only sign I needed to stop eating. Instead, I ate it because I ordered it, then I spent my birthday night in our AirBNB with such severe food poisoning I almost went to the hospital. Had to change our travel plans for the day while I recovered and rehydrated. His: Ordered a sirloin steak cooked to medium. Got a steak so rare you could barely cut it and it didnt drain any sort of juices. This is the first steak Ive ever seen that didnt drain even a little bit of juice when manipulated, and it tasted like it never got marinated as it was supposed to. My friend had to request the marinade that was supposed to have gone on it, then cut further in to expose this deep red purple color. Everything seems very frozen and thawed here. That could be incorrect, but thats the type of flavor we got from everything. Friend got his meal for free as he didnt want to eat a nearly raw steak. I have food safety concerns, and I have concerns that the chef of a nice restaurant such as this one is unable to cook meat to a desired temp or noodles without making them all clump together. Two stars because our waitress was outstanding.Edit: changed to one star as I sent a Facebook message to business and it was read and never responded to. A simple thank you for informing us would have been satisfactory!

Total disappointment.....took my "bucket list" trip to the New England states and first city we stopped in Maine was Portland. Asked the visitors information the best place for lobster that the locals go and she recommended "DiMillos". We got there early before the dinner crowd and ordered lobster tail. The waiter said they don't have the tail but a "lazy lobster". My sister insisted on it so the waiter said he check with the cook and came back and said he'd do it for her. Well it came out the exact same as my measly dish with approx 6 to 8 bite size pieces of lobster but hers had just the tail portion in it, mine was cut up pieces of lobster parts. Never have I been to a seafood restaurant without being able to purchase just the tail served the traditional way from the Gulf Coast, San Diego and even in Albuquerque. On top of that the waiter was an ass. When I asked which he preferred the rice or baked potato he asked " have you never had a baked potato.........?" He was an ass all the way around.
After we returned home I meet a new neighbor who had just moved from Maine about 20 miles out of Portland and told her of our experience and she said "oh no you didn't go to DiMillos did you?" The next day we went to Bath and that's where we got out lobster tail and a better price.
Luckily we had our parking ticket validated because it was $52.00 to park there for about 1 & 1/2 hours . The view was nice but so was the views in Bath and a lot less expensive and our waitress was great!
