    Service was extremely poor! We're told that our entrees would be out shortly. 35 minutes later they arrived. When asked why the delay, we're told the kitchen was busy. In the meantime, surrounding tables who came in after us not only received their entrees before us but basically finished their meals. We sent the entrees back and asked for the check. We spoke to one of the managers on the way out. Rather than just apologize, he too just gave excuses. Not what one would expect.

    Never got to try this place but wanted to mention that when I called to see if they accepted reservations, the woman who answered the phone was SO RUDE that I wouldn't ever want to go to this place...what a shame.

    Having grown up in Portland, I am very familiar with this restaurant and know that it is attracting for tourists during the summer. It can be hit or miss. Unfortunately, our experience on Sunday, August 27th was horrible.<br><br>We (6 of us-4 locals and 2 guests) arrived at the restaurant about 6:00 or so and were told it would be about a 30-40 minute wait. That was fine and we went to the bar for a drink. We had drinks and our buzzer went off about 30 minutes later and we were seated at a nice table by the window with a great view of the marina. We were happy for our Canadian friends to be able to see our pretty waterfront.<br><br>We all ordered our dinners which consisted of a fish dish, seafood marinara, lobster, fisherman's platter, and two planked scallops. It was almost an hour and a half before our food arrived and the restaurant was not full by this time of night. The fish dish was fine as was the lobster, and the marinara dish was piping hot. The fisherman's platter was okay, but not perfect. The two planked scallops were cold and inedible. The waitress offered to get a new dish for me, but I declined due to the lateness of the evening. The other person did ask for a new dish of scallops and the waitress said she would try and "rush" it through. We waited for another half hour and the planked scallops finally arrived. Everyone was done their meals and it was now after 8:30 and my friend sent back the "rush" order and refused to pay. The waitress tried to be somewhat apologetic, but did comment that "she did not cook the meals". We really don't know why there was such a disparity in the quality of the meals, but we were disappointed with the service and attitude when we received less than satisfactory meals.<br><br>We are pleased that our guests' meals were cooked correctly, but we will not be bringing nay more of our out of town guests to this restaurant that we have tried to support throughout the years.
