Very expensive for the quality of food they offer. The calamari appetizer had literally no calamari in it- unacceptable. Lobster stew was not super awful but nothing to be impressed about (too much cream and not flavor at all). Frutta Di Marre plate was just ok. We paid $150 and they only thing we liked was the bread and the beer. The place looks nice and very busy which can be misleading. My local sports bar in Boston has way better food than DiMillo's. Very disappointing. Tourist trap.

On our last night in Maine before returning home to San Diego, we were referred to Dimillos. Right off the bat, we noticed that our waitress was a bit "snotty." We were quite burned out on seafood and wanted a steak so my husband and I both ordered the prime rib as there was not a big selection of steaks. Big mistake! When our waitress brought our plates to us we both noticed it was over cooked. We both ordered medium rare, it came out medium well. We didn't say anything as we were tired and just wanted to get to our hotel room to get some much needed sleep for our 5:30 a.m. flight home. Then I tried cutting the prime rib and it was so tough and full of gristle that I thought I was using a butter knife. About 5 bites in to it, our waitress came over and asked how everything was. We told her how tough our prime rib was and she told us to stop eating it. She offered to bring us something else which we didn't want to do as we didn't want to wait for another meal to be cooked. And then she stated she could bring us something fried which would be quicker. Again, we refused as this was not what we wanted. So she left and came back about five minutes later. At that time we were done with this horrible meal, each of us leaving half of our prime rib on our plates. So then she offered us a free dessert, which we normally don't eat as we are not big sweet eaters. So she brought us our check and said she took our drinks off of the bill and made a few comments about how she hopes we'll come back and try them again as they pride themselves on customer service and that's why they've been in business for 50 years. And her last comment is the one that got me the most "but every once in a while we get a bad cut of meat." Really? If you are admitting you get crappy meat then we shouldn't have gotten our $15 worth of drinks for free, our meals should have been free! $26 for a crappy prime rib dinner that came with only a potato to me sums up to equalling a very expensive baked potato. Not even offering a dinner salad with the meal is unheard of, especially with a steak or prime rib. Needless to say, when we return to Maine next year we will not be eating here. Our bill was $52 + $4 and some change for tax + an $8 tip for a snotty attitude waitress. Very expensive meal. We are the type that if the food is good and we get good service then we don't mind paying for an expensive meal and will tip good. She's lucky she even got an $8 tip because she certainly wasn't worth it. The $26 was not a bad price for prime rib but it should have at least come with a salad. I love prime rib and this was by far the worst I've ever had.

Was recommended to come here by the foodie walking tours and was ignored for 10 minutes-- and no it wasn't busy. Won't be coming here again. Beyond disappointed.
