I went through QualSight to get my LASIK set up. Doing this saved me 2500! My representative, Chris Thompson (extension 4118 if you want to use him too) was incredibly patient with me, and very professional. He stayed with me on the phone for about 40 minutes because I had a lot of questions about the procedure, healing time, etc. and was nervous about getting it done. He had a way of reassuring me and making me feel much more confident about the procedure without pushing me or making me feel obligated. I recently had the surgery, and the results are amazing. The staff and Dr. Melki were very helpful and friendly as well. I would definitely recommend LASIK to anyone and especially to go through QualSight because if Chris wouldn't have answered all of my questions in such a patient and reassuring way I probably would have never gone through with it and I'd still be suffering with contacts every day. Not to mention it saved me a lot of money!

Went to get evaluated for LASIK this week -- what an impressive staff! I must have been attended to by 8 or more staff members while I was there, all of whom were incredibly professional and knowledgeable. In the end, I wasn't a good candidate for LASIK, but I was left with a positive impression of everyone, from Dr. Melki himself to the front desk staff.

I got my Lasik eye surgery done here with Dr. Melki last Friday. I have 20/15 vision now (earlier I had around -5.00 diopters on both eyes and astigmatism). Numbers aside, my vision is sharper than ever now; it is simply amazing. I was also a bit nervous before the procedure but when Dr. Melki worked on my eyes, I forgot about that and was occupied with following the instructions "don't move, don't speak for 20 seconds" for the flap creation, and then "look at the red light" for the second laser. You really want the surgery to go well, so that's all that counts. I went back to work the following Monday, and besides having a slight headache due to the lights at the office coming from everywhere, it was not a big deal. Every day my tolerance to light improves. I do see halos around lights at night, but they told me that it will improve over time as the cornea heals. So I'll just wait. Hell, it's only been a few days since I got the surgery done, and I'm so lucky it keeps getting better every day. And I realized one thing: the bedside manner is not important for a good Lasik surgery. What really counts is that they are very methodical and do not miss a single step during the surgery. This is your eyes. You don't want any mistakes. You need to be cool in your mind and have the experience for this. Why can surgeons not operate relatives or friends? There's no place for emotions here. And later, when the surgery is done, all you care about is whether you have perfect vision. So then, please let the doctors do their work perfectly. You can get all the emotional attention from your friends etc. later! :)
