I was very happy with my experience and the results. Boston Vision was very transparent about the process and the procedure. The whole process was made very easy.

I had a great experience with my Evo ICL procedure. I had myopia, with a power of around -5 in each eye. I could have gone with LASIK, but I chose ICL because: - fewer patients report having dry eyes 1 year after the procedure - reversible: in case I was one of the unlucky few with dry eyes/halos to the point where I hated it - preserve my cornea in case future advances in medical technology open doors that might otherwise be closed by getting an irreversible procedure like LASIK. Dr. Jason Brenner was my surgeon. He is excellent. I showed up to the evaluation appointment with a printed list of 10-12 questions. He was good humored about it, took the time to answer everything, and listened well. I didn't get the 'lets-rush-you-because-this-is-an-assembly-line' feeling folks sometimes get at corrective eye surgery clinics. He was calm, quick, and responsive during the procedure. My right lens didn't feel like it sat quite right, so he went back and made sure it was set optimally. Great job, I would recommend him, and the Boston Vision team. I had my follow-up with Dr Dy. She was also great. I had the worst headache I've ever had the day of the surgery. It lasted about 5 hours. My right eye was about 24 hours behind my left eye in its recovery simply because of a difference in post-op swelling in the corneas. Dr Dy had me come back for an extra follow up (without charge) to make sure my right eye had caught up to my left in healing. It had. I'm one week out from surgery. No headache, no dry eyes (although I use artificial tears 3x a day at least), mild halos. It feels great to have good vision again. Thank you to everyone involved in my care.

I had ICL surgery at Boston Vision on February 5, 2025, and chose Dr. Melki as my surgeon. Before the procedure, my pupils were dilated and I was given a sedative. After waiting for about 30 minutes, the surgery began. The entire process was quick, taking only a few minutes per eye. During the procedure, I had to focus on a light, which felt very bright and uncomfortable due to the dilation. When the lens was placed in my eye, I felt some pressure and discomfort, but no pain.On the day of the surgery, my eyes were extremely sensitive to light because of the dilation. After returning home, I took a nap, and when I woke up, I was amazed to find that distant objects were already clear. However, I still had trouble focusing on things up close. By the next morning, most of the discomfort had subsided, and my vision was sharp. The recovery was much faster than I had expected.

I would highly recommend LASIK at Boston Vision with Dr.Brenner. From the initial consult, everything went smoothly and explained thoroughly. Everyone was very knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions well. My left eye has a lot of astigmatism and was told that my chance of retouch would increase to 10%, but would be reassessed 3 months out. Unfortunately, I had to move to the Andover location to get my procedure done, since the A/C was not working at the Brookline building and for the laser to work needs a certain temperature to operate adequately. That location was also great, but since it was a bit of a drive away it was a bit annoying. Even with a minor bump in the road, I would still highly recommend! During my procedure, my right eye experienced a bubble after the initial flap was created. They explained that this can happen and took the necessary measures to ensure that i could still proceed. When they say you will feel pressure, they aren't kidding, it's bearable but definitely not pleasant. I would say the most painful thing about the procedure is the tape and the metal instrument to keep your eye open, so really not painful at all! Surprisingly I didn't feel any pain or burning sensation afterwards, which was great. I took my 4 hour nap and used the drops as directed, everything was great - I could see 20/20! I really appreciate the honesty and transparency they have with you!

Went for my 6-8 week follow up today and again, SO happy at how amazing it is to be able to see (FINALLY!) it has always been such a routine of mine to go for my yearly eye exams to just be told I need stronger lenses, and today the words of your eyes look great! And actually being able to read the last line of letters is mind blowing to me! Im sure many can relate. If anybody can qualify for Lasik I strongly recommend you do it or at least really consider it! It has been life changing TO SAY THE LEAST! Also, most importantly, thank you to all the staff that have been so welcoming and kind during my journey with Boston Vision! :)
