My first visit I had to wait 30 mins before seeing the tech. The Dr told me later on that they build in these exorbitant wait times, as did the facility manager. I called 2 other eye centers and they shared that I was justified in being upset by the wait and they would NEVER think to do that. Naturally, it happens that people have to wait for unforseen events but not forced to wait unnecessarily. What a way to treat people let alone a veteran. I found another place.

After waiting six months for a scheduled appointment, the office called me and pushed it out three more. They then dropped my appointment entirely and I had to get another referral! They didnt even call me to let me know. I had to call them!Four more months waiting only to find the appointment with Dr. Wajda to be a waste of time. She had no concern for my eye problems. I wont go back to this center. Only the doctors assistant made an effort.

Maine eye care gave me an incorrect subscription for eyeglasses and will not correct or retest me for a different prescription. I have called numerous times with no call back. They literally ripped me off for 700$. Do not go here, they do not care about your health or vision. All they care about is the short term gain and do not care if you never come back. This is scary thinking I was going to have them do lasik surgery on me, if I were to go blind by their mistake they probably wouldn't care at all as long as they got paid. You people should be ashamed of yourselves and your terrible treatment of good people. Hope this helps at least 1 person stay clear of your business

Two plus years into the pandemic. The errors in scheduling and over scheduling, combined with rude staff have this caretaker wishing there was an alternate choice. Thats just it, the need for the service is greater then providers available.Stop over scheduling. I see the EOBs and what you are being paid per injection. Patient care matters.

TL: DR - Find a different provider, even in Boston.I was referred to this practice to have surgery. Every time I have spoken with someone, I have received a different message, including what to expect. I spoke to the doctor last week after yet another confusing message, and after expressing the challenge of hearing something different at every encounter, her response was "I'm sorry you've had this experience" and then an offer to refer me to someone in Boston and start the whole process over again. I was told to expect the surgery to be scheduled (just scheduled, not actually occur) within the week. More than a week later, I was just told someone would work on it next week. I highly recommend that anyone referred to surgery here explore options at another practice, even if it means traveling to Boston if you are able to.
