Unfortunately they are the only pediatric optometrist in Maine. Next practice is in New Hampshire. This is very cooperate practice. Meaning not warm & friendly. Runs like a machine with no emotion. Just feels like you are on a conveyor belt from the time you enter, to you meet the doctor and at discharge. It was hard as a mom to be in facility for a newborn with little compassion or interest-in kids. The facility is massive! Clean.

Easy parking, and Drs are wonderful. The wait time is absurd but, the optical center where you buy glasses needs new employees. Ive have gone there three different times, and all three times the employees have acted like waiting on me was a chore. They did not seem to want to be bothered. I have gone there twice to buy glasses and once to have a pair of glasses realigned . After realigning my glasses, I commented they they still seemed off. The technicians response was theyre fine I had to go somewhere else to have them fixed. I will not be buying my glasses from Maine Eye again.

I have been going to his office for the past 10 years. He's rude, late, and barely cares about his patients. He always brushes my concerns to the side. If you can help it, find another doctor."

The employees are friendly and Dr Berman has been great seeing both of my children.. However, the wait times are hell. We arrived at 2 for a 2:30 appointment for a routine eye exam for glasses and did not get out of there until almost 5... 3 hours for an eye exam is insane, especially when you're there with children (in my case a 2 year old that I had to keep occupied in the waiting room for 3 hours).. My son had his eyes dilated (which of course accounted for some of the wait), but we were told it would take about 40 minutes and we didn't get called back for 90 minutes. It is a very busy office and I'm confident they are all trying their best but just be prepared for a wait. Bring a phone charger and a snack.

I have to take away two stars for the long wait time. 2 1/2 hours! My dr. was wonderful. I guess the long wait times at this practice is the norm.
