I had the ICL procedure done in mid 2024. The preparation was fine and so were all of the on-site visits prior to the procedure. The procedure went well as well and the doctor was very nice. The issue is that the side effects did not go away within a few weeks or a few months as they said but took more than half a year. I was fine with that too, however, after 3-4 months after the procedure, I started getting eye styes. Initially I did not pay much attention, I started using some drops/creams, as I had these a long time ago. It became an issue when nothing helped anymore: no creams, no drops and no antibiotics. I had 2 eye surgeries to remove those styes (chalazion), but they keep coming back. Every day is a struggle now, as both of my eyes have been swollen for over 1 year, swollen and red. And the only reason for this, based on my doctors opinion is the ICL. Now I have to decide to remove those lenses and go back to glasses or keep leaving with chalazions on both eyes, which are very much visible, uncomfortable and itchy.

Excellent doctor who I respect and trust based on his care for my vision for the past 15 years. My sense is that he is working hard to appear more nurturing and friendly. I dont need pointers, however, on the senior center in my community. This is not a wellness check. The secretaries are still dry and impersonal and the waiting room and offices are drab and uncomfortable.

Excellent care and diagnostics, but a very long wait to see the doctor (I consider longer than 30 minutes a very long wait).
