Id give my whole experience of having two cataract surgeries 4.5/5. The practice is very well organized and the staff with whom I had contact were excellent. My only disappointment was that I was informed before surgery that my procedure would not require eye drops after surgery but I needed eye drops after BOTH surgeries, one for inflammation and the other for increased pressure. Unless my experience a rare exception, it would be better to inform patients that eye drops may be required in some percentage of patients.Given this, Dr. Dunker and Dr. Vitalis post-opcheck ups were very valuable. I saw Dr. Vitali only once but she found the increased pressure and made sure I got a sample of the medication needed to treat the problem after learning that it was not covered by my insurance.I saw Dr. Dunker several times after my first surgery and several times with my second surgery. I found her technical skills to be impressive and inter-personal skills to be outstanding. She presents as calm and caring and her explanations of technical findings are surprisingly clear and enlightening. Shed be a great teacher.

I had LAL cataract surgery about 5 months ago. Overall I am happy with the results. I had my left eye 20/20 distance and mini mono vision for the right eye about 20/25 as I did not like full mono vision when I tried it out. It was too difficult for me to get used to. Surprisingly I am able to read the computer screen without glasses and my phone messages. The main issue I am still dealing with is dryness which has caused alot of blurred vision for me and floaters. I have back up glasses for distance driving if I want or in stores if blurry. There are alot of post op visits with this procedure but not painful. to go through.
