Friendly staff who fully explains what they are doing while they are testing you. Would give 5 stars but you never get in at your appointments time. You can however watch the fish swim in the huge tank while you are waiting!

Dr. Kevin Kovach is an excellent doctor. Great friendly attitude and excellent in explaining what will happen to your eyes if you are having CATARACT SURGERY. A little pricey but worth it. Some of the staff from Elmhurst went out of their way to help me with the process. Very sensitive assistants. I would recommend Dr. Kovach. Read about Cataracts and its alternatives before asking questions about any part of the process as he will answer them. The only reason I dont give it a 5 star is because the insurance department had a problem getting back to me on a timely manner.

I had cataract surgery, performed by Dr. Kovach, in July, 2018. I could not believe how much better I could see after the surgery. The surgery, itself, was quick and painless. After 4 months, I had a follow-up visit with Dr. Kovach, and he discovered that I had secondary cataracts. This required a laser procedure, which was done in his office. That procedure was also quick and painless. The only negative would be the long waiting time. My last two appointments took approximately 2 hours (one for a quick follow-up check-up; and one for the 5-minute laser procedure), most of the time was spent waiting. Everything was very professional; but I wish there was a way to lessen the waiting time.

I was referred to Dr. Kovach by my optometrist when the need for cataract surgery became imminent. I was treated well, and surgery was planned for and executed in a timely fashion. The result was terrific. I still need to wear glasses, but my world is so much brighter now. My only complaint was that follow-up visits were always lengthy due to a very crowded schedule. However, I have always appreciated the time that doctor took with me, so I justified a long wait with Dr. tending to his people. However, this past month I had my routine visit and I was in , seen and out in under an hour. I was very surprised and very happy. Whatever mode is being used to see people in a timely fashion, keep it up!
