Dr. Kevin Kovach is an excellent doctor. Great friendly attitude and excellent in explaining what will happen to your eyes if you are having CATARACT SURGERY. A little pricey but worth it. Some of the staff from Elmhurst went out of their way to help me with the process. Very sensitive assistants. I would recommend Dr. Kovach. Read about Cataracts and it's alternatives before asking questions about any part of the process as he will answer them. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star is because the insurance department had a problem getting back to me on a timely manner.

I had cataract surgery, performed by Dr. Kovach, in July, 2018. I could not believe how much better I could see after the surgery. The surgery, itself, was quick and painless. After 4 months, I had a follow-up visit with Dr. Kovach, and he discovered that I had "secondary cataracts". This required a laser procedure, which was done in his office. That procedure was also quick and painless. The only negative would be the long waiting time. My last two appointments took approximately 2 hours (one for a quick follow-up check-up; and one for the 5-minute laser procedure), most of the time was spent waiting. Everything was very professional; but I wish there was a way to lessen the waiting time.

I was referred to Dr. Kovach by my optometrist when the need for cataract surgery became imminent. I was treated well, and surgery was planned for and executed in a timely fashion. The result was terrific. I still need to wear glasses, but my world is so much brighter now. My only complaint was that follow-up visits were always lengthy due to a very crowded schedule. However, I have always appreciated the time that doctor took with me, so I justified a long wait with Dr. tending to his people. However, this past month I had my routine visit and I was in , seen and out in under an hour. I was very surprised and very happy. Whatever mode is being used to see people in a timely fashion, keep it up!

Very professionally-run office (both Elmhurst and Naperville). I had cataract surgery 5 months ago. I was very impressed with the attention I got on the days of my surgery. The surgery was very successful. My only negative comment would be that my office visits are very long. I spend a lot of time waiting in various rooms.
